I am willing to bet that old "mannerisms" or bad habits, combined with apathy, complacency, and permissive labor laws protecting underperforming employees and -yes- unions protecting sub-performing employees have anything to do with this. Of course Chinese employees are younger, more eager to make a difference, and very competitive since they can be replaced instantly with a milion others. I wouldnot mind buying a superiori chinese product if well built. For those thumbing their nose, may I ask- do you have an iPhone, a Canon camera, any major brand computer or device? Then you are already using well-built superior Chinese tech. Nokia and Ericcson have factories in China....ahem.

I have a 2024 XC60 assembled in Sweden…I have none of these “defects”. Believe me when I say not only am I a car enthusiast, I am extremely picky about fit, finish and quality. I’m extremely glad that my XC60 was built in Sweden. I’ll take it over the Chinese built with any day.

Yup Chinese propaganda, I had a 960 that was built in Sweden nothing wrong with the way that was built, have four other Volvo's that are from the plant in Belgium, thay have none of these faults. Defiantly prefer to buy a European built Volvo over a Chinese built one even if there were faults or defects.

I totally agree with you. I have 3 2019 Volvo cars. The Chinese-made S90 has much higher build quality compared to the Swedish-made V90 when comparing the same segment. As you mentioned, the offset defects from Swedish-made Volvos are very obvious and very annoying. The engine hood gap on my XC90 and V90 is just like you pointed out in this video. I think the Gent factory in Belgium is way better than the Swedish factory after I checked out some of the XC40s in the US market.

I wonder if the steel come from Sweden i.e. quality of the metal components that are used to build the body, first and foremost the chassis as well.
@allaboutvolvocar211 ай бұрын
All steel components has ISO grade. I don't know what steel Chinese factory use to make volvo, but let's do not doubt how industry works.

now I wondered, does the Malaysian-assembled Volvo(s) are on par with the china version...

I absolutely do not believe this video! he tested two cars, one from China, one from Sweden, the car he tested is already a used car, the owner has not taken care of it, so he cannot make a comparison Sweden, the population, and Sweden's rules are strict warranty, we have good protection when it comes to warranty and quality in Sweden so no one wants to accept these errors here in Sweden I have always bought Volvo and must say top quality, no such toy cars as you show here!

Motori d3 e d4 consumano olio motore.
