Any worry about the crush washer on the line going into the back of the caliper no longer doing it’s job after you initially tightened it to stop it leaking, but later adjusted its orientation? My understanding was that crush washers were one time use items.
@NikRomanoRacing3 жыл бұрын
Nah, I didn't tighten it hard enough to actually crush the washer the first time. Just snug.

Any experience with pad knockpack on this? Thanks

Nope, the brakes were always right at the top of the pedal travel. No tapping at the end of the straight needed.

Nice video. Big brakes will still fit your 18” wheel square setup?

Yessir! The photo in the thumbnail has the big brake kit on the car with the 18" TE37s.

Not steel, but *gray iron. A common mistake. Also, the StopTech 309 "Sport" pads are probably the best dual purpose street/track pads out there. Also also, Castrol SRF is the exception to the rule but only because its wet boiling point is still very high.
@NikRomanoRacing4 жыл бұрын
Oops. Guess it's like calling oil "40 weight." I think I may have used 309s on Zach's GTO many moons ago, and I remember them being pretty good on track. But, given the temps we're seeing on this car, they definitely would not be enough. We're switching to Endless brake fluid, which tests very similarly to SRF. Should be good to go with that.
@MikaelBertlinSwe3 жыл бұрын
Nice video. If you want to not have the brake fluid mess next time. Put some pressure on the brake pedal and keep it there while doing the job. This will close of the main brake cylinder and there will be no fluid coming out of the brake lines.
