Hmmmm🤔 This is a video I made quite a while back and this American padlock proved to be more of a challenge than I thought. (I'll bring it back at some point with a quicker pick... hopefully)

You have to love the pins that come in American locks, those spooled and serrated pins. 🙂👍

Nicely done. Those American make for a good pick. Have a good weekend my friend 👍🏻

So sorry for that long struggle. She is a tough old bird but you got her in the end. As an apology, I am sending you a parcel to make up for it. Expect it soon. Great job. I couldn’t pick it myself but I knew you would. 👍🦊

Jack you are forgiven but only because I think this lock will improve my picking 😂😂😂😂😂😂 This is an awesome lock Jack, this open is not my slowest or quickest. I am so pressed to have it in my collection so a super huge thank you for your kindness. Oh a package, I'm all excited, thank you. Stay well my friend.

Nicely done Roy!!!

Practice! Patience! Perseverance! I tried various tensioning on this and I still couldn't work out which pressure was best to use 😂. Not my quickest open and not my slowest either. Cheers Mur-Lock68 🙂👍

I'm not surprised that lock put up a bit of a battle looking at those pins.

I agree what a great lock and fantastic pins too. At some point when I have a little more time in going to have another crack at this on video and see if I can get the time down. Cheers Paul 😉👍

That one really gave you the run around eh Roy? Some innocent looking locks are tuff cookies! Well picked 😎👍🏻
@roysammons2445Ай бұрын
I had got this open a few times, sometimes quicker and sometimes slower. These are great locks to pick and I love those serrated spools. Cheers Dmac 🙂👍

You and jack a pair of my favorite pickers..

Even after my 10 to 12 minute pick of this American. You are awesome!!! I've had it quicker since this video was made, I'll have to dig it out at some point and make a quicker video. Cheers for the encouragement 🙂👍 PS Jack 🦊 is awesome!!!!

nice locks, i have several 1305's, Great job picking, it's a hard decision sometimes to just reset and start over. have a great day
@roysammons2445Ай бұрын
I think I had got this open 5 or 6 times, this wasn't the quickest or the slower time. I agree the decision to reset and start again does run through your mind when it starts to take time. These are fantastic locks and I love those serrated spools. 🙂👍

I have been told these are quite difficult locks to pick.
@roysammons244517 күн бұрын
They are certainly not the easiest locks to pick. This one was quite a challenge so I think I'll bring it back at some point.

I was thinking about you the other day 😂. Appreciate you dropping in to comment 🙂👍 This one certainly is, then again most American locks I've come across have been a bit tricky. 😉
@paulg413Ай бұрын
Persistence pays off Roy, is the Pin 1 a zero lift?, I always get thrown by the 0-lifts (or near zeros) in American's... and an Open is an open 👌👌👍👍🍻🍻
@roysammons2445Ай бұрын
I usually empty chamber onto the pinning tray from the left, that means pin 5 was the almost zero lift. I think I must have overset it a few times and it dropped by itself 😂 I had previously picked it a few times with a quicker and a slower open. I did make this video a while back and it must have gotten lost in my uploaded videos. When I spotted it I thought I would just play it. I will have another go at the 1305 again at some point. Cheers sir and yes Hallelujah an open is an open 😂😂😂😂😂😂

Good fight 💪💪 Well done for staying focussed. These can be soo hard to pick sometimes 🙈
@roysammons2445Ай бұрын
A few picks I had had with this lock after first getting it ages back resulted in long opens. I did get a short open amongst those few attempts but I must have been a fluke quick open 😂 I'll bring this back at some point.
