I love them both but I went with the 38mm only because I’m getting a Seamaster for myself and a Aqua Terra. Giving the Speedmaster to my oldest son and the AT to my youngest when they are 18 but for the time being I’m going to enjoy wearing my Speedy 38mm😁

the 38 seems interesting. automatic and 100m of water resistance plus the 38mm case size (which to me is the perfect size). And significantly less expensive. I just wish it had the same clasp, but oh well I guess we can't have it all.

Hi Brad, you've got 2 terrific watches there... I think the 42 is deceptive actually, as it's got a reasonable lug to lug measurement, but both watches demonstrate the constraints of chronograph movements: none of them are dainty... I'd go for the 42mm, but with sapphire windows. If I was rich enough (ha!) I'd go for the Calibre 321 version, but that's another story... Thanks for this Brad, have a good week bud. Big watches make you look gaudy. All classic watches were 38mm or below. Big watch craze is a recent phenomenon and I hate it. Big watches are for Casios

Hi, i got the 38mm as a pass down from a relative. I was manually winding the watch and after several turns i met resistance. Does that mean i have fully wound the watch? I have a seiko and i can keep winding the watch for eternity without meeting any resistance.

Hmm, without knowing the exact model most of the 38mm models are automatics. If it's meeting resistance after a few turns you may want to have it looked it.

42 mm has the superior design by far, but it is a bit too big in my opinion. Wish they could've just "shrunk" it to 38 mm, then it would be perfect.

Those small 38 mm watches you are wearing looks like a grandmothers watch on you man. For all you guys who are wearing small watches like this 38mm makes you look like a litte boy is wearing a watch. So in this case if you have a small wrist definitely go for the 42mm it wears really well on a small wrist and helps you look a little more grown up
