Having a good spouse to work with means everything. It is very obvious that you two mean everything to each other and enjoy each other's company. .My Husband and I were that way, 4 acres of land and always 2 to 4 beautiful horses that we went on large trail rides and camped out with. We`done everything together. My Husband of 24 years and 2 years living together passed from cancer in 2020 . You two have worked out how to treat each other and it is a rare and lovely love story to watch.

Each of your films is hard work and yet so much peace and beauty of the surroundings. It's true that you've been tidying up right from the start, there was a huge amount of debris left behind by the former owners, but the progress is great and visible. The cat still doesn't stay in the house, try to play with him, food and play is the best way to get a cat, he is so beautiful and probably not sure he can stay. OMG @3:26 ... am drooling over all those beautiful live edge pieces you have! From what I am seeing and depending on the wood types, looks like easily $10k to $13k worth, could be more. With some resin/epoxy, elbow grease and some skill, Bertus can turn those pieces into $30k+ to start!!! That would help out with your future big renovation jobs.

Goodness the space is huge! What a great find all that beautifully aged wood. Some really nice shapes in your stash! I know it probably feels to the pair of you that the cleanup is dragging, but surely week after week we are seeing steady progress! At least you have plentiful internal areas to work your way through on the rainy days as we saw. I think just about everywhere in Europe must be completely sick of the sight and sound of rain! The rain seems to make the grass and weeds grow at a phenomenal rate, before we know it the next important job we all have to do is cut the grass again! ❤

Clearing out the old and not-working for the future is such a major step. The wood board you have saved for future use is going to be lovely and helpful along the way. I swear we must have "common genetics" as my absolute favorite thing is clearing out and organizing--ideas for your lovey evoling cascina will be amazing. ..wonderful and light--YES! Might I ask a favor? When the spaces are finally empty and ready for your "next steps" could you do a walking tour within the chicken coop, the cantina, etc.? It would be lovely to see the "chaos" gone and and the blank space ready to fill with your dreams?

It is odd, but a good cleanup and sorting of stuff is absolutely heart warming. How wonderful to get rid of all that old heavy machinery. The best part is someone may even want it. If not, no doubt the metal is worth saving. My husband George would love your big shed. He is nearly 85 but still, would love larger than he has now got. All that beautiful hardwood would get him drooling. He loves wood. Currently making a couple of step stools out of pine crates, but would prefer to use hardwood, only he doesn't have to purchase the pine. As he gives them away, I am rather glad about it. Best wishes.
