God specializes in broken pots! I loved that saying. I needed to her that today! I heard about John Brainerd listening to Leonard Ravenhill. I found out about Leonard Ravenhill through David Wilkerson All mighty men of God. Thank you so much. Agnes Cherokee Rose

There's a Japanese art form called "kintsugi" where broken pottery is mended with gold, so that the breaks and imperfection become a thing of beauty and uniqueness. The breakages and repair are part of the history of the object, not something to disguise. One could probably use the same metaphor here.

This needs wider viewership - very very good over view of Johns life

John Newton had a stroke at a fairly young age (in his 40s) which took away his ability to serve as a captain of ships... Yet he still saw the good in this as he was now able to fully focus on God's Calling for his life (preaching God's Word & discussing his life experiences to reach out to others & abolition)..
