I love how they say "governor, are you ready to take the oath of office?" because you can imagine that for each one, they're thinking, "well, that's the last time they're calling me that!"

This is a great video! In case anyone was wondering who the man was holding the Bible for FDR to JFK it was the Clerk of the Supreme Court. In 1965 LBJ started the tradition of having the President's spouse hold the Bible. Once again, great job! It would be a good idea to add Obama as well.

I notice some changes: The move from the Chief Justice using the second person singualr to using the first person singular; the move from right to left of the dais; the placement of the spouse in the middle, holding the Bible; the playing of Hail to the Chief after the oath. Any others?

One of the other changes was made when President Reagan took his oath was that he moved the ceremony from the east side of the building to the west. The phrase "so help me God" was added by President Washington and was the first tradition established regarding the ceremony.

To be fair, Obama also cut into Roberts before he finished the "do solemnly swear", which might have unsettled him for the next bit. But I am shocked they fluffed up something so important. With millions watching from around the world, you'd have thought they'd have rehearsed. :-)

After seeing this compilation, it's clear Obama made the *first* mistake by not waiting for Roberts to get to the part "solemnly swear" before starting the echo. Roberts needed to take a tiny breath after saying "Barack Hussein Obama," but Obama should have known to wait til after the "solemnly swear" before starting.

We are still apart of the coalition of the willing. Bush thinks so anyway. Our PM saluted yours.. seriously, no lie, go search for it. If I was in NO way affected or my life, influenced by US foreign AND domestic policy, of course I would have NO right to interfere, but I DO. Thanks to the US Federal Reserve system, and its printing of money endlessly out of thin air - world prices and inflation are skyrocketing, the price of oil is climbing. And its all thanks to US monetary policy.

Your country stopped being an ally when it abandoned us in Iraq (Thanks to PM Rudd). Either way, your troops being in Afghanistan is through your own government's actions. If you want to abandon us there too, then you must petition your own government for their return. They wouldn't be there if your government wouldn't allow them there. You have *no* right to influence a US Presidential election, no more than an American has the right to bother an Australian election (as if we would want to).

Not quite in 130, but still, it isn't an empire. We don't rule those countries. It isn't against the constitution. The Congress did vote for military action, just not a war. A practice which has been upheld by the Supreme Court. So, not illegal. There is no such thing as an illegal war. I own stock, I am big on economics. Any true economist will tell you that oil prices are a product of market speculation. You getting angry, and using exclamation points don't make you any more right.

GW Bush, Clinton, Reagan, Nixon, Johnson, and Eisenhower all had second inaugurations that were undoubtedly recorded (Truman's second is included, why not theirs?). Roosevelt likely had his second and third recorded, but probably not his fourth, "private ceremony" one. I'd be interested to see how much video/audio recordings we have of the inaugurations between Harrison and Hoover.

The figures were accurate, and provable. The economy is growing, which is also provable. Everything I have said is true. You refuse to accept any fact anyone tells you, because you assume that everything that isn't in your bubble is a lie. Nice quotes, they don't really say anything about the issue though. And typing in caps (and quoting a loon like Paul) doesn't prove your point.
