very awesome! I didn't keep any of the albinos, but I kept some of the lucyxcopper eggs and they are just now hatching. They look great and it looks like all the albinos eggs are albino babies!

my albinos started to hatch yesterday, looks like some are eating brine shrimp today, lucyxcoppers are a few days from hatching, do you think the cold pack slowed down development during shipping?
@JulesAskalotl8 жыл бұрын
yeah it seems the cold packs did help slow them down while in the mail. mine are around 68 degrees the whole time but those in the mail probably got down to 50 degrees during shipping.

after they get a certain age, they need worms. shrimp are harder for them to digest
@gregjonesonline8 жыл бұрын
they are eating bloodworms now! also looking into blackworms and earthworm pellets

That infection on the Oscar sometimes come when you ajust the water temperture with hot water. There's a lot of gunk in the bottom of the water heater like rust and lead. Just to name a few. so sad to see the ocarina like that.

Not sure how much you pay for that bonded filter floss but in my experience, a MUCH cheaper alternative is to go with 100% polyester quilters batting might be too fine for that much water flow though. Im not sure, I just know it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the bonded blue and white filter floss
@gregjonesonline8 жыл бұрын
I may have some, i can give it a try, i know the blue bonded is much better at trapping and holding particles
@reidsmith30028 жыл бұрын
Greg Jones I didn't know that, the bonded stuff might be the better way to go in that case
