392 Scatpack or 5.7L R/T Nitrous

5.7L 345 V8 Hemi with Nitrous or 6.4L 392 Scatpack - which is faster? The Challenger 5.7L 345 V8 Hemi has long tube headers, Exhaust, 150 shot nitrous shot & dyno tune with wheels/tires. The Challenger 392 Shaker Scatpack is bone stock 485hp & 470 lb-ft of torque with 275 summer tires. Which do you think will be faster - Challenger R/T nitrous 5.7L V8 or stock 8 speed Scatpack Shaker 6.4L 392 8 speed auto?
The Charger & Challenger 6.4L 392 in the right conditions will run mid to low 12's (12.4 or lower) with nothing more then a drag radial. A stock 5.7L R/T with 5 speed auto will be in the high 13's (13.8 or higher) with drag radials you may see a drop to 13.5 or lower.

Just found I out I gotta replace my driveshaft in my '15 Charger R/T. 🙃Shop quoted me $1100 for the part and install. There goes my slush fund LOL. Loving the videos lately bro, keep it up!

@@RTLife Yeah, I did roll that around for a while. But TBH, Iv grown pretty fond of my B5 Blue beauty. I think, as long as she doesn't continue to throw problems at me, I'm gonna keep her on the road as long as I can. They told me it's a "common" issue for Chargers and Challengers.

No I mean upgrade the driveshaft. You might be able to get a stronger 1 piece for similar price etc. I def hear you on hanging onto your R/T - I love my 15 Charger R/T B5

@@taylorcoley6329 I broke my drive shaft in my 2015 rt challenger as well and upgraded to a 1-piece drive shaft shop driveshaft that’s rated to 1000 hp cost me right around $1000 dollars and it’s not hard to install on your own but you could go to a small shop around your town and it shouldn’t be anymore then 200 bucks to get it installed. Don’t get another stock driveshaft it’s not worth it lol, will end up broken again in the same Situation.

There is nothing better than people loving their cars and working on them to built the best version of it! I like the 5.7 nitrous, but I have a 392. So I can't cheat to much on my Ms. Indigo. Nevertheless each one is a beast of its own. Thanks for the video!

It was hot out there & the 392 did a solid job throwing up decent times esp. on street tires. These Hemi's are a blast - they all need radials though for the low end torque.

Good in the right lane, not so good in the left. Prep was better in the right and had a couple of 11.7xx-11.8xx runs at about 116.5-ish ETs. Left lane was 12.0+ and had to nurse the launch. Had a mustang shelby run into the wall (driver ok) and it took an hour to clean and reprep the track so that kinda ate up a lot of the evening. My car is pretty stock scat with Nitto555Rs, 85mm TB, hellcat box and filter, and a Jay Greene tune. Not the fastest but I really enjoy driving her.

Yah it was awesome bumping into a couple of bolt on builds. You mostly see Hellcats at the strip so it was cool to see R/T's, scats & SRT8's

The r/t would still easily take it as long it’s a stage 2 nitrous where he can get a 50 shot off a 40 and 100 around 80 he would just keep pulling that’s stupid amount of torque so like a 40-130 I think the r/t would inch it out barely

I currently have an 09 on a 100 shot. All nitrous outlet kit Auto bottle opener, built in bracket bottle heater, purge valve, throttle body adapter. K&n cold air intake and both muffler delete. I’m buying tires soon prolly toyo r888r. Current drags 1/4 mile is 13.9 . Haven’t run it with nitrous cause it just spins

Those tires should allow for you to run the 100 shot. Let me know how it works out for you with the addition of the tires & nitrous.

05 Magnum R/T. Diablo can, air, srt8 manifolds, 125hp NOS wet kit, 12 flat all day 230,000. Why by a $cat? R/T weighs 400 less too. You'll never make that up.

It would be a great run against me and that r/t on nitrous I run 12.3 all motor so it would be a neck and neck race that’s pretty cool to see that I would be super close with a 150 shot r/t and i ran that with no trans tune and stock torque converter interesting….. by the way r/t life how’s the build haven’t seen it in a min

I have a 14 Charger RT 5.7 w 100 shot nitrous. I run 12.67 @111 mph 1/4 mile at sea level. I average 15-20 passes a month. Considering 150 but not sure…don’t want to push the internals more than I am.

There is a nitrous rt challenger on KZbin that is keeping up with gt500 and there is another nitrous scar pack that barely lost by a millisecond to a Lamborghini aventador SV

The 57 will hold up longer then the 392 under any kind of spray unfortunately the 392 has a flaw you cannot run more than 6 lb of boost safely
