Beautiful boat. Seems like an ideal looper boat. I didn't check the specs on draft but I hope it is not over 6'. I like the prop in the skeg aperture especially for the river portion of the loop. Washer dryer gets points from me!! Especially on long trips. Nothing beats doing laundry while motoring along in the ditch when nothing else is going on.

Great boat. Best interior in any mid size sailing yacht. Excellent fuel economy. However, they came out in 2001, not 1981 as shown in the final credits. A smaller and somewhat more affordable version is the Cabo Rico Northeast 400, which also draws less than the gargantuan (for a 50 ft motorsailer) 6 feet.
@mhub35762 жыл бұрын
I was wondering about the vintage. Its in Bristol condition, which would be a lot more impressive were it a 1981. Either way, a beautiful boat!

I agree with 45. She appears to be more sail than motor to a very certain degree. Cabin lines are lower than most motorsailors. No doubt some compensation in head room below. @@YachtHunters Yes.🇬🇧.. Or Dutch, German or possibly French .... but yes big tidal ranges, shifting sand banks and miles of mudflats, estuaries and old stony tidal harbours ...😉 Also very useful if you have to do maintainance or repairs off grid and you cannot or dont want to pay small fortunes getting lifted out. Young Capt jacks folks boat Melody has a triple keel with a lifting center board for into the wind deep water sailing. As did wildings sailing's first boat ⛵ but that was so short and heavy it was like sailing a gravy boat. Im told with good modern design bilge keels makes a lot of sense and sail very well and safely in difficult seas especially with beamy boats getting leaned over.... same reason they tend to go for double rudders on modern performance yatch's.

It's funny, right? At a certain size & design- everything just works. I mean the powered winches (50's if memory serves), the raised pilothouse, handholds everywhere, headroom everywhere & substance. That yacht has substance. I didn't even question the hull- just all meat, no fluff. Even those big Beneteaus & Jeanneaus lack the 'feel' of that Bruckman. Stormy weather, put in a couple of reefs, make a coffee & let it storm, right? No worries. I would NEVER, EVER consider a motorsailor, but- I TOO genuinely enjoyed this one!
