399's Cubs Meet Their Sister! Eight Grizzly Bears Grazing Together in Grand Teton National Park!

The now world famous Grizzly Bear 399 was grazing with her four cubs in Grand Teton National Park when suddenly they smelled another grizzly bear entering the area. At first they were concerned - but this new bear and her cubs were no strangers. It was bear 610, an older daughter of bear 399! 399's cubs were meeting their big sister! In what was first seen as a concerning encounter, it ended up being a cute exchange of curiosity between all the cubs!

We missed seeing 399 and her cubs by about 2 minutes as they crossed a road and went into the bushes at the end of May. However we did see Bruno, with binoculars, across the street at the edge of the trees. Couldn't believe how big he was even through the binoculars!

From what I have learned, one will will typically show dominance over the other. But I’m no expert. I have heard of these two l, since they are related, meeting up occasionally and tolerating one another’s closeness. So beautiful and special!

This bear 399(I hate she is numbered and tagged by humans) is a incredible Mom and survivor. Ages had 4 cubs this time, and wouldn't have unless she was secure in knowing she can raise all 4. Her daughter as well has learnt her Mom's survival traits, and has raised twins. Wonderful footage.

It’s the number the park assigns. From what I understand, it’s for the bears they’ve collared. They assign a number.

Female bears often overlap territories with their relatives, and sometimes meet up. There are occasional cases of a bear adopting a sibling/nibling/orphan.

This is the most beautiful sight of grizzly bears an older female grizzly with a younger female grizzly and it’s beautiful they getting along well cause the two female grizzlys are mother and daughter they are getting along well even tough grizzly bears are solitary the common sight see to grizzlys that have the same blood are living together

Unfortunately 610 two cubs were shot by rangers as they became bothersome to humans according to a report by PBS. Rangers are also worried that 399 is taking her four cubs to human population and the same thing could happen to these cubs.
