399 is a beautiful bear and is perfect. No battle scars. Only 7th time recorded for grizzly bear to have quads and 1st time all 4 made it back to hibernation without cubs being killed by a male bear or predator. 399 is an awesome mom and is about 23 years old. Amazing 👏

I have been following 399 for approximately 1 year. Sometime after someone film her with her 4 Cubs! Someone said (online) that 4 Cubs were unusual so l’ve kept keeping track of them! I thought that other bears even family members would not tolerate each other? Really enjoyed the video and how you educated everyone about this family! Thank you!!

Love those grizzlies. I always look for them when i was in montana and Wyoming. Beautiful majestic animals that are misunderstood and mistreated by humans. They are not this crazy predator that would attack humans when you see them. The media just create fear and that creates hate towards grizzlies. I hope these bears live long and thrive.

Sadly no bears on our trip but we saw huge elk herd, moose, antelope, birds, deer. Bo was great at getting us around. We were with him the during the day of the 13th before the heavy rains that night devastated so much of Yellowstone and surrounding towns. I hope that everyone is recovering from that flooding.

I heard that one reason that bear 399 stays down close to roads, is because there is no threat from male grizzlies. Male grizzlies are more isolated than females.

I feel very blessed to see grizzly bears in their natural habitat. She will definitely be missed. A few years ago a mama Griz was hit and killed by a car, her two cubs of the year could not survive on their own and perished. Nature can be so brutal.

I despair on the attitude of the authorities (Fish and Game+) and some others of our species towards these animals. Shame on them. Leave the bears be, stop hazing and stop hunting. We have a responsibility to protect our bear and animal population and not execute them for so called 'sport'.
@blackie83062 жыл бұрын
Absolutely agree. How could anyone think of shooting one of these magnificent animals. And as for bow hunting of bears (videos of which I've noticed on KZbin), how can this inhumane killing be legal? These animals should be protected.
