But there are fans who would be happy to hear there's less of them. So I think we are more than in a good spot. Honestly even the First 2 Sonic Films have quite a good Rotten Tomatoes Score, especially for a Video Game movie, whereas Mario has a Negative score, both Sonic films have quite positive scores, Sonic 1 has 64% and Sonic 2 has a improved score of 69%

Based off the reactions we’ve heard, here’s my predictions. I think we’ll see Amy Rose at the end of the movie but she won’t be an end credit or post credit scene. I think the post credit scene will be hinting at Black Doom and a potential Shadow spin-off movie being the next big project, with the end credits scene hinting towards Metal Sonic for Sonic 4. That’s my guess, but that would be cool too.

Not really. Movie sonic doesn’t act like game sonic AT ALL. Maybe if you count the 2010s meta era sonic (but fans got really tired of that). I feel like this movie is going to be more fast paced. Which is something I was expecting, but perfectly okay with. It gives more focus on the characters we're actually there for, and leaves no room for random side plots that take away from half the movie. Plus, the emotional beats being hollow....eh, I find that a little bit hard to believe considering multiple reviews have said that the emotional moments are amazing. Hot take(?) but the further these films aim to please casual audiences and focus on pleasing Sonic fans,the better for me,one of the reasons why I absolutely hated the Uncharted movie is because it only focused on pleasing Tom Holland fangirls and completely shat on everyone who wanted a faithful adaptation of the games,Sonic 1 had some Sonic elements in it and was enjoyable but it was overall focused mostly on introducing casual audiences to the character,Sonic 2 on the other hand embraced its videogame roots and that’s why me and a lot of Sonic games fans loved it way more,so hearing Sonic 3 will please game fans tells me everything I need to know.

People need to understand, Sonic is a franchise for a younger demographic. Jeff Fowler said Shadow's story is the crux of any emotional depth the film will have. But the charm of the franchise is that there's an equal balance of emotional depth and silliness. An overly serious Sonic will suck, an overly goofy Sonic would be annoying. The art is to enact it when there's a need for both. The film is for the fans, not really a mainstream audience, so the Post credits possibly being Amy and Metal is enough to blow minds.

@ excuse me, but I’ve been a fan of sonic since the late 90s, early 2000s. I think I know perfectly well what a sonic movie should incorporate. “Cringe” is not supposed to be purposely added. Things become cringe because they fail to land what they intended to portray. Sonic only became “cringe” when the writers and developers lost vision for the direction of the character. Hence we had the cringey Meta era, where everything was some sort of joke or satire, which gets boring very quickly. All we ask is that writers do what makes sonic good. Make him cool, make him radical, kind and brave. That’s it. Sonic isn’t supposed to be making lame meta jokes (like asking where they can get Tom cruise for help??? Why would sonic ever say something like that?)

Trust me I like good writing and the serious tone of sonic as much as the next person. But we also need to be realistic. And the movies don’t try to be cringe. They try to tailor to a family friendly audience. And most of those family friendly things just don’t land which are then “cringe”. I’ve also been a sonic fan since the early 2000s. Since I was a little kid. I agree with you on what you’re saying. I don’t necessarily want sonic 3 to be like TASM2. I don’t want the cringe or the childish jokes necessarily. I want the coolness and the seriousness. But we need to be realistic. You can’t explode your expectations out of proportion that get incredibly disappointed or even pissed off when it’s not what you pictured. Because realistically it’s not going to be 100% what we want. I’m sure the film is going to be amazing. Even with those “cringe” moments. We just need to accept it’s a film for families and just enjoy the film for what it will be.

I had the opportunity to see a pre screening of this film in imax, and I will say that this movie delivers on humor, action, emotion, cinematography, Easter eggs, shadow gets the screen time he deserves, sonic learns how to work as a team, and Jim Carrey is funny as ever. Sonic 3 is the best out of the trilogy and the most exciting 2 post credit scenes I’ve seen in a very long time. Can’t wait to see the direction they have for the next villain!

I’m not gonna like the hate this movie will inevitably get cos of its humour. Some ppl hate as a trend and just are negative all around. As much as loads of ppl that’ll love the movie, there’s gonna be loads that tear other ppl down and say the film is bad cos of one particular part of it. It’s a very subjective thing and a critique works but hating is just such a waste of time on a finished product like this

I was so happy for LS Mark and confused when he made a community post saying he was invited to the UK premiere and I was like "How is that possible?" But now I know the movie hasn't been released in the UK yet it's just a premiere.
