It’s not that I thought he was gonna retire, it’s that the only position anyone can do moving forward is to either do a reboot or do prequel movies. At this point he’s in his 70s and the suspension of disbelief that a senior citizen that isn’t supernatural still slashing away is harder to manage. They kinda backed themselves in a corner continuing the timeline and grounding him as just a man. From what it sounds like though, they’re going the route of going back to the original and I could be wrong, but you might be only able to get away with doing that only so much before that in and of itself becomes stale.

One idea I would love is a manhunt series. Get the guy who played Loomis in the Blumhouse movies and have him be the main character. Follow Loomis' obsession with Michael's evil after the 78 events as The Shape pops up in Haddonfield, terrorizing people at night. That's been my idea since I first heard of a Halloween TV show.

Well, it's confirmed Freddy, Jason and the Evil Dead movies are linked. Jason is confirmed to be a Deadite. Jason's mom used the Necronomicon to put a curse on Jason. It's explained in the sequel comic to Freddy Vs Jason called Freddy Vs Jason vs Ash and on other connected comics. Freddy Vs Jason was supposed to have Pinhead show up at the end confronting both Jason and Freddy in the pits of hell. Oh, the Dagger and Necronomicon from Evil Dead show up in Jason goes to Hell. I think one of the main reasons this is happening is because Jason Voorhees is getting his own TV show. Michael and Jason are arguably to of the most recognizable characters on horror history, so I think miramax is trying to capitalize off of that. Two competing shows about the most popular villains in horror history would generate a TON of buzz. Either way, I’m super pumped for both of them.

The reason he was dying was because he was dying from multiple infections since he had untreated wounds that got infected. But if you seen the movie, you would know what really killed him. Which was, Laurie slitting his throat, his wrist and stabbing him in the arm pit causing him to bleed to death. So no he didn’t die from old age

I do want to see a sequel to Halloween 6. (Follow up what happened with Tommy, Kara, Danny and Stephen who is Jamie's newborn baby and is the only living family member of Michael and show us what happened to Loomis) A sequel to Resurrection were we see what happened to John and follow up that story from H20. Go back to the original novelization with the festival of Samhain place that in 63, it was arranged by Silver Shamrock and the evil curse was placed over Haddonfield. Loomis investigates this after H1 unrevealing these twists and leading to a bigger story covering what led to the 63 and 78 nights so it's a prequel/follow up to the original film.

Honestly, I seriously think that the Halloween franchise needs to just live on in legacy at this point. Considering how messy the franchise is at this point with all the multiple alternate timelines, etc... I'm just not really interested anymore. Something I’ve always clamored to see in the Halloween franchise, if they decide to jump off of that 1978 movie or just reboot it, is something akin to the 78 movie’s ending. Michael just vanishes that night when he escapes Smith Grove’s and is just on the loose. He’d become the town’s Boogeyman and some kind of a myth, returning every Halloween or so to skepticism from locals. The new series could jump off of a random encounter with him on one of these proceeding Halloween’s and establish Michael as preexisting in this world, leaving opening the option for movies about what Michael did between the newest movie and his escape. Just my opinion on the direction though.

I don't really see how a Michael Myers-centric cinematic universe could work. They've repeatedly tried to give reason to why he kills (i.e. Movie 5 and 6) and they weren't well written. One thing that could work would be to follow John Carpenter's original ideas to make each Halloween film a separate movie like Halloween III was. That way it is a shared universe, but not necessarily one that hinges on Michael appearing all the time. Another idea that comes to mind is to continue the fourth movie's twist ending (Jamie being the next Shape) and creating a new timeline from that movie.

I’m not sure if I’m the first or only one to say it but…the series idea seems like it will be connecting all the timelines, which honestly I think is a great idea. A challenge, an interesting one, to say the least. What other point of a simple serial killer made into a series is there?

I would honestly love to see Cronin's take on Halloween and Nightmare Elm Street. Also the idea of the tv show and movie being connected is a good idea however, personally if they should've gone with the anthology approach of season of the witch. Where the TV series and the movie are there own self contained stories with little hints they're connected. Infact personally if it were me I would have the events of both the show and film go on simultaneously. Where the movie's events starts around the second half of the show's first season.

I was kind of hoping they'd make the Halloween show an anthology. Whether that would mean we'd get one storyline per season or that every episode would be a standalone story that potentially takes place in the same universe if you want to jump start a cinematic universe.
