Thank you Abraham, I like your channel and this series of 3D basics. It's really helpful for those who are new in 3D. It took me almost a year to understand how things work in 3D by spending hours watching random KZbin tutorials as my background was Graphic Design and I had no Idea about 3D, it was so confusing. You are indeed a great tutor and what I really like about your channel is, it's project based and it takes us through the whole creation process and at the end of the day you can see a proper result. I found this method of learning so efficient cause one can understand how and where to apply that specific tool or technique. Anyway thank you again for the contents you create and adding Blender tutorial to the channel was also a good Idea. Keep up the great work buddy, Cheers!

If your IPR crashes and it has trouble updating your geometry or the scene, typically the solve is to go to the render dropdown in the IPR window. Then go down to "update full scene". I deal with that bug constantly and it's super annoying. Hope this helps anyone who encounters that issue!

I love the trouble you had to get the thing to work properly, lol, very glad you didn't edit it out. Par for course in my own experience getting Arnold Maya displacement to work - I've got one of the latest Pro NVidia cards too - very quick renders compared to my 56 core CPU machine, but very sensitive to memory issues - make sure you allocate as much memory as you can to Arnold in the System tab of the Arnold render prefs, where you also choose whether to use the GPU or CPU.

awesome video dude, thank you. I really appreciate the way you go through the raw process, allows me to understand your thought process better, basically what you were saying at the end was spot on. Anyways time to make a sphere displacement for a brain. Cheers mate.

Great video, what are the best image file types to use for accurate displacements?
@EvelynHernandez Жыл бұрын
you should switch Arnold render system tab setting to GPU if you want faster renders. I believe I saw your settings on CPU, which is way slower. and bogs down your overall performance.

I cant see the displacement in my ipr or renders. I've tried so many tutorials in both renderman and arnold. I cant find any tutorials on the subdivision part either, just how to inout the maps.

Good day! Please help. I follow your instructions. When I add a displacement, the sphere becomes a cube in the render.

It's nice that you're distributing a lot of knowledge through your channel, but what about the series that are not finished, it would be nice to learn a project from start to finish, it's been almost 2 months since the last video of your stylized creature series.
@Nexttut3 жыл бұрын
Hi my friend! i know what you mean, unfortunately the stylized creature series was not receiving as much attention as our other series that is why we decided to suspend it, but we will be doing more stylized stuff in the future. thanks for being part of the channel!

You CLEARLY don't know what you're doing. If you don't know how to use Displacement maps in Maya... why would you ever make a tutorial for it?
