Hello, I'm the designer of this 3D Map (owner of the Tabletop Goodies Etsy store too, we still need to create a KZbin account :D). This was such a surprise to see this video! I really love the comments and all the suggestions! It took me around 3 months to design and I could finally put it out few weeks ago! I'm writing down all those comments and suggestion for the next version! (I am also considering adding some support for "homebrew" stuff on the map (like additional magnetic Sietches etc...)). Few clarifications, the map is about 25% bigger than the one coming with the game, and like you mentioned, some sections are tiny on the original map like Wind Pass North, so I tried to increase them a bit. Overall, each territory is slightly bigger than the game board coming with the game (even with the elevation). For the magnetic modules, only the trackers/reserves are removable, but I love the idea to simply add the support for the factions too. As well as adding some section to the spice tray. For the elevation, you are right about the sink 😊 It was difficult to make it deeper (instead of taler) because the base of the map would need to also higher to accommodate and the map weight around 3KG already. But I will see what can be done! Will also check those rules for the Shield Wall, and upgrade the tokens (or add a third one to support both rules) so it is obvious that it is still a stronghold. Again, TANK YOU so much for this video! This is super nice to see you reviewing it like that and the community giving feedback and suggestions. Will definitely check the comments section!

@@jackredathewarp It would be my pleasure :) If you can handle my French accent of course! Maybe somewhere in September (mid to end) (I'm very busy right now with another project) and this will also give me a bit of time to play few games ;) I am not the best player and I also need a refresher for sure!

Why would you put this in my head, I NEED IT

The boardgame Yuan has 3D modular board that is cardboard so it might be the kind of solution that would fit the KH edition, because a plastic of wooden board would explose the price of the game

It's such a lavish idea, it's a perfect add-on for a deluxe version crowdfunding campaign.

... Why did you introduce this into my life? I wish i played the game a bit more in order to justify it. I still might maybe I will try and play it a bit more before the year is out. I tend to "bling" out the board games I both love and play often (Looking at you Spartacus).

I think the board is absolutely beautiful, it's something I'd love to pickup in a heartbeat but the price tag does my heart in. I do worry about the space for some key areas such as strongholds. I think overall it would do better if it was scaled up, but also its also partly limited by the dune boards design being somewhat... clunky. *cough* Wind Pass North If the strongholds were modular (with magnets), in that you could drop in a flat tile if needed it would be beyond perfect, but that also seems a bit more extreme than scaling up the board or maybe removing some of the walled section to push in all the terror tokens, ambassadors and additional units sitting together in Carthag (because it's always Carthag with our group).

I like your comments and changes that you suggest. Stronghold and Polar Sink should be lowest. I think player's position are fixed to board, I prefer option to be flexible pined to main board. Or make addition like Turn Order for faction and micro strom movement, how many sector have to storm move to change player order to next one.
