I love the way these drips turned out. I like that they still have that bead bump at the bottom and it doesn’t look like a flat drip. I have the perfect tumbler to try it on ☺️

How do you clean the inside of the cup?
@DiamondsandDust3 жыл бұрын
Depends on what’s in there. But magic eraser or lemon essential oil usually works.
@teresa67653 жыл бұрын
Just a thought but if you would clean up the rim before it cures that would save a lot of time and work.
@DiamondsandDust3 жыл бұрын
It’s definitely easier to clean it after it cures. If you try to wipe it away it’s really stringy and makes a mess all over your cup

Hi, nice cups, i have one question, you used Resin UV, can i used my lamp UV to make sure that is cure??
@DiamondsandDust2 жыл бұрын
Hello. So my epoxy is just UV protected. It’s still a 2 party epoxy, not the one you use with your lamp.

Awesome cup .....I would recommend putting on some gloves for your next project safety and health first

I use gloves and a mask all the time, not when I do my drips as I’m not touching the epoxy. And I don’t wear a mask in my videos or you wouldn’t be able to hear me. I’ve been doing this a long time, I know the safety precautions to take. Thank you for your concern though.

I tried this and I probably just waited too long so it was too think, now I scrapped it off and going to sand it. Do I wait until it’s cured to sand?
@DiamondsandDust3 жыл бұрын
Yes let cure and sand. You may need to add another coat of epoxy in between to shine it back up

This might be a dumb question, but I thought you said this was UV resin, wouldn't it need to be cured by black light? Or does it eventually just cure on it's own? I've been doing tumblers for quite some time now, but I never really got into using UV resin except for once while making a dragon scale cup. By the way, your cups came out looking so cute! I'm trying this tonight so I just wanted to make sure I get it right, tysm for the tutorial! ❤
@DiamondsandDust3 жыл бұрын
I just used a regular epoxy that has UV protectant, that one just cures on its own without a light.
@laurapope36853 жыл бұрын
@@DiamondsandDust Thanks for the reply. I ended up mixing in an ungodly amount of cornstarch and finally got the consistency I was looking for. Without it, my epoxy just turned into a rock 😩 But my cup came out looking perfect! Even my practice cup looked great lol. Thanks for the help!

Is there a specific resin to be used for this or can I use aluminite?
@laurapope36853 жыл бұрын
@@tamiechiadenny-frank7899 I've found that it doesn't matter what resin you use, but that different resins will be ready at different times. Like some will cure way faster than others.

Everyone says epoxy is not food safety but it’s dry that’s the only reason I haven’t done a drip

The cup is epoxied also, so an epoxy drip wouldn’t be any different than an epoxy cup.

@@DiamondsandDust awesome 💜😊so drinking out of it directly wouldn’t be a problem? Putting your mouth/lips on the rim? Thank you so much for responding 💜
@DiamondsandDust3 жыл бұрын
Just make sure your epoxy is FDA compliant. And it has to be fully cured to be safe to drink from.
