Drips can be done in many ways and Im here to show you how to do each and which styles you may want to use for different drip looks. I have listed any supplies I used in todays video as well as the basic tips shared during the video!
Epoxy Drips:
Tips:
-Use a regular epoxy (not a fast set)
-you can thicken your epoxy with: time, cornstarch, or epoxy thickeners (I use: amzn.to/3QEs5el )
-Practice your drip on an old cup to make sure your epoxy is thick enough before moving to your designed tumbler.
Puffy paint drips:
Puffy paint drips are great for adding glitter or polymer clay pieces
-Quick and easy and completely dries within 24 hours
-Glitters I used: Spiffy and lilac blooms from www.shopvinylgallery.com

Hot Glue Drips
Tips
-Hot glue comes in many colors including glitter!
-Use a high heat glue gun for best results (I used: amzn.to/3dI6kMj )
-Add heat to make your drips longer OR blend the hot glue in between sections
-Remember hot glue can burn you so be careful

Hot glue is a fun one and a bit easier to clean up/ remove vsthe others. Sorry puffy paint was a no go hopefully you will give it another try in the future

So yes and no. The fabric paint one would last longer Under epoxy or a water based sealer but if using for decor you could get away with just sealing with clear spray paint like the coaster cups I did! For the epoxy one you don’t have to unless it needs sanding and with hot glue you honestly could leave it without sealing and it would do fine! I use hot glue a lot for toppers and don’t usually seal those with epoxy

For the hot glue and fabric paint drips yes but my epoxy drips I always spin once I’m satisfied to how far it’s dropped

Ohhhh wow!!!! First of all, I never knew that you can get glue sticks in different colors (I did know about glitter glue sticks) These are all neat and kinda easy hacks, question for the first hack do you do the regular 1 to 1 ratio for the epoxy drip?

Yes hot glue honestly is my fav especially for spooky season. But yes for epoxy drips I use the regular 1:1 ratio epoxy

I recommend epoxying over the hot glue and the fabric paint for a smooth finish but not necessary over the epoxy drips usually

Do puffy drips need to be sealed with Epoxy after? I don't really have a cup turner or a means to seal with epoxy but I've seen many do that. I'm worried it'll peel off or break off with use or wish handling.

So I normally do yes however they would still hold up fine without it would just be more textured and not as smooth.

Is it possible to get drips on small, fake twigs so that it looks like icicles?

Hmm I’m not sure! Maybe with the fabric paint if you add a little at a time and let it dry? I have seen the icicle version of drips but not dripping from something like a twig yet

Yes I epoxy over hot glue drips to keep them sealed and avoid them being pulled up

Yes as soon as the drip is dry you can go over it with epoxy ☺️

Yes this can happen sometimes usually if your space is on the cooler side the paint takes much longer to fully dry. I just leave it to sit longer until it fully dries

So puffy paint does come in lots of colors but you certainly could tint or change the color or white puffy paint and then apply it as a drip to your cup from a medicine cup vs the bottle it comes in

You could certainly do a different finish like Hyperion or brite tone to seal in the hot glue drips
