Thank you so much! I am creating a chalk art drawing in my community next weekend and while I am an artist, I usually work in paints, so I was wondering how other artists blend and sketch in sidewalk chalk. Thanks again, it looks great and I picked up some good tips!

Yes it is. Sometimes black can be an issue but if you use some water and a scrubby broom it would come off fairly easily. Hope this helps! Good luck!

Is there particular math involved? Assuming a viewer's height? How stretched the image is towards the viewer compared to aerial view?
@TracyLeeStum
@TracyLeeStum 3 ай бұрын
@@UHFStation1 There is geometry involved however the layout can be done without using complex formulas. The height of a viewer’s eye is what you are interested in. I typically average 5’ high for most viewers when designing. For example, individuals who are shorter would stand slightly closer to the painting, while taller individuals would move slightly further away from the painting. The image is distorted and would appear so if viewed from above. Due to the camera foreshortening the image, it will appear ‘normal’ when viewed from the fixed viewing point. I hope that helps!

I'd like to attempt to use a projector to project distorted animations that can only be viewed from one direction and appear 3D.
@TracyLeeStum

@ you can do that! In fact, many artists use projectors or even VR glasses to create works now. Set your projector up at the viewing point to get the proper angle. I recommend checking with a camera while it’s projected to make sure the orientation is correct. Good luck! 👍🏻

Very Awesome! Your an amazing artist! What inspired me to watch is on September 23rd in our very small town here they are holding a Picasso chalk contest! I am so for inspiring others with art 🎨! (All new to me since my Artisan is piano 🎹 ,singing and 🎵 music) My town surely could use the inspiration! Again that was an awesome instructional as well as inspiring video❤! Oh and if you would like to attend let me know! Teams of 4!!!

Thanks so much for the great comment and info about the festival @downharmony! Where is the festival located? I'm happy to share the info on my networks. I don't participate in many festivals any longer but have many friends who still do.
