This printer is insane! I'm definitely buying one. I wonder if you could install the E3D Revo hotend for super easy nozzle changes, because I think switching to a 1mm nozzle here would be just sweet! And yes, bigger nozzles need slower printing speeds and a bump in temperature.

When dealing with large nozzle prints, you (very) quickly run into the maximum amount of plastic the hot-end can melt (Referred to as volumetric flow). CNC kitchen has lots of in depth videos on how to understand this and deal with it, and how to overcome it. That said, even 50 mmps print speed (25 cubic mm/second) with 0.4mm layers is faster than I'd ever print. I normally target around 12-15 cubic mm/second with normal hot-ends.

Yes, big nozzles require a big heater too, what's that heater rated for? I do 0.8 nozzles on my machines and you definitely print a bit slower with those big beads! But, the advantage is you can greatly reduce print times with less perimeters needed. For armor and such, I use a 0.25 layer resolution. Also, why type of nozzles does the Neptune use? E3D style?

For large items like this its best to place on the table and for you to stand in front of it. And if possile keep the camera far enough back and use zoom to frame so as to keep size in perspective of the shot. Alow you to capture the entire printer and keep yourself in frame.

Nozzle speeds should be dictated by flow rate. For a hotend like that, you want to limit to 12-15 mm3/s which will be much slower than you think for a 0.8mm nozzle. You CAN up your temp but if the printer does slow down it can be problematic. That printer is MASSIVE and really glad to see your thoughts on it!

First comment on a youtube video lol, I print with a 1.0 and 0.8 mm nozzle on my ender3pro and ender3. I was getting the same clogging issue and found that greatly reducing the length of retraction and increasing the speed helped immensely. With a full bowden setup I'm using 2.2mm of retraction speed set at 60mm/s. on top of that make sure the firmware is set up to the correct nozzle size (at least in klipper this is a thing).

Hi Jessy, love your channel, just got my first Neptune 3 max and right out of the box the z axis is loud going home. Its shaking. just wondering if you ever had issues like this and what the fix was. I contacted Elegoo to see what their response is.

Pros/Cons vs the Kobra Max? Flexy print bed vs glass; top mounted spool vs side mounted; similar or same nozzle, slightly bigger build area...am I missing anything?
