Impressive, I own a SKS myself and a lot of the parts look just alike, I did notice you put the recoil spring at the back of the cover and closed it. The real spring is so heavy that I’d be amazed if someone could pull that off.

Sks is short stroke ak family uses long stroke. So basic system is different.

It also needs to be polished later. I just keep printing and testing to keep the tolerances as small as possible

@@jestnutz I used to be the 3D printer guy at the Chicago Micro Center. The amount of ender 3s I sold is obscene. One day alone I sold 15 to 15 different people and we had JUST gotten them all in stock that morning, I used the CR-10s cuz of the larger print size, but Crealities are great, upgraded to the Snapmaker 3 in 1 tho

This is what I thought as well. Having the blowback system is also a good way to begin simulating live fire without having to spend a ton on real rounds (they can really get expensive per round, especially with old antiques that Prvi Partizan still makes for example)

@@PrograError uk? level or otherwise? cus the rule i have to figure out is realistic props must have something that makes it clear that it is a prop, problem is to stick a red/orange cap on the end will not work with the detail this gun has when taken under the rules props made from broken airsoft guns, its tricky sadly and considering the nearest one to me is in Cardiff, there is a lot that could go wrong

Brilliant blowback such a cool little feature are you planning the same for the m1 garand you did or is it a case of the sks had more room to play with to pull it off?can't believe the quality of the rifle as well its beautiful well all of your guns are for that fact loved the peacemaker revolver you did although would have loved to see you do a lemat revolver more that's a beautiful Western gun especially if ya did the westworld man in black version that's such a cool looking gun. It is so amazing to see content like this SKS as a toy is not as easy to come across as one might imagine... might i suggest a single shot rifles such as Martini Henri or Rolling Block? I do not see much of a single shot rifles used by major military on this channel and it'd really make it a cool content.

You know what would make this cooler? If you add thin layer of hard metal like steel along the sides of the moving parts to give it a more metal like sound. Its looks really cool but the toy like plastic sound kinda throws it off for me

I had an idea for better movie prop guns that could be built by hollowing out airsoft replicas, making them cycle dummy rounds, having programmable led lights at the ejection port and barrel (to match the temperature of the scene) as well as a vape device that pumps vapor out of the barrel and ejection port

Because i really want to make it but I only got 2 good FDM printers, 1 pretty trash FDM printer that I wouldn’t really trust for this and 1 resin printer and I don’t want this to take a month? I thought it would actually shoot the bullets out the barrel not the side but I guess you can aim your gun sideways at your opponents at close range and pull the trigger to get them but it won’t do as much damage sadly
