This is awesome. I have just purchased the plans and starting to print. What size wheels and tyres would you recommend? I'm a complete crawler newbie.

Thank you! It's really exciting that you've started! For beginners, 1.9-inch wheels and tires are a great choice because they're stable and easy to handle. I used 120mm tires and personally enjoy using JConcepts Ruptures. Enjoy your printing and crawling!

@@elvisrcchannel4590 Thanks for your reply, appreciate the help. I have ordered a set of Louise RC - CR-ROWDY mounted on rims, which were available locally. Busy adding bits to my AliExpress cart now for the axles, gearbox, shafts and links. Very exciting! The longer shafts seem to be a bit harder to find. Can you share what you are using?

Awesome build! You put a lot of work into it, and it shows. One thing you will need to do is put the drive shafts in the correct phase. I noticed when you did the test the shafts were oscillating really badly. Both of the knuckles need to be in line with each other so there is no excess binding when running it. It's a pretty easy fix. Kudos on an excellent build and great video.

While our views may differ slightly, I appreciate your valuable feedback, and I will respond with respect and gratitude, doing my best to address your points. 1. The reason I chose this gearbox is because it has a slipper clutch and, personally, it's easy to obtain and has proven its durability over a long period of time. 2. The reason the drive shaft of the gearbox is not aligned in a straight line is that the drive shaft of this gearbox is offset. In narrow vehicles like this one, it’s not possible to center the drive shaft with the chassis (if centered, the gearbox would stick out of the vehicle). 3. I reversed the orientation of the gearbox to position the heavy motor towards the front slope of the frame to achieve a slightly lower center of gravity. Please understand that this was a challenging design choice, and I spent a lot of time considering it during the design process. 4. The angle of the shaft bend is within acceptable limits, and during actual crawling, there were no significant issues with vibration or durability. Of course, I agree with you that having the drive shafts perfectly aligned would be ideal. Once again, thank you for watching this long assembly manual video and for leaving your valuable feedback. @@elvisrcchannel4590 I meant no disrespect to you. I'm an r/c addict, and I love working on them and I have several in my shop. I'm referring to the drive shafts themselves, not the alignment to the axle housings from the transmission. I know those are offset because of where the transmission is located. I'm referring to the location of the knuckles in respect to each other. They need to be lined up with each other because if they are not, then it will put the driveshafts themselves in a bind and out of balance. If you look on a full sized car, they are lined up to eliminate vibrations. I know on a crawler they won't be spinning near as fast, but it can wear on the U-joints themselves. All that needs to be done is to align the knuckles on each end and that will eliminate vibrations.

Very nice build but the driver figure spoils the look of the model. Driver is way underscale and makes the model look cartoon or toy like, keep it out even if it's non oerminant thing
