The best thing about your channel is it stirs my imagination about similar kinds of things I could design and problems I could solve with my 3D printer.

Thanks for your comment. Once you get started, it's hard to stop seeing ways to improve/fix things.

Just wanted to put this comment here to say that for a couple of years now I was mildly interested in 3d printing, and kind of wrote it off as a kind of frivolous hobby. Not in the least interested in making little fantasy game figurines and toys. But you are bringing the goods, sir! Your videos are now making me think 3d printing can help me solve a host of practical problems. Thanks for taking the effort and posting these videos. Stuff like this is gold.

Thank you so much for your comment. This is the reason I started the channel. I too felt the same way at one point, but once you get over the hump of learning the basics of how to reliably get good strong parts and learn a design tool, so many abilities unlock. My wife often asks why I spend time each week (sometimes a LOT of time) on making these videos. I showed her your comment, and said, "this is why".

I used my 3D printer, for example, to build different attachments to my bike, needed for converting it to e-bike.

Wonderful video and print! I would love to know what the other side of the door looks like and if you have sort of a "cap print" that could slide in from the other side to give it a finished look. Can you share the STL file?
