Great flight, prototype flying nice! I like those little wheels to land on especially here in the desert!! 🙌🏼

The little wheels are a nice trick. Not every one has grass and park flying with FRIAS and all. They would sell bore belly landers with this gear on em

Nice flight. I fly off grass. My preference would be for a 200% 80mm EDF model with retracts. But a hand tosser would be a nice addition for those days when you just want to get out for some relaxing flying.

Yup, did the same thing first landing, she is slippery. It also could hold a slight nose up sorta alpha-like attitude landing power off and holding it off as long as possible. Still getting used to it. Am on like my third one plus a 125% scale version that takes 64mm fan. Best 3d printed plane of mine so far. Cobra is sweet,
@NoonzAirborneRC11 ай бұрын
SWEET!! I've been preparing for a 125% this summer (indoor project when it's burning 🔥 outside 🤣) Anything special on the upscaling? Using same servos? Agreed, she is slippery. Wish I could land in grass too lol. Great jet solid flyer! Eclipson hit it out of the park with this one.

@@NoonzAirborneRC In the 1st 30 secs I heard it's a 4S powered unit with a 4S 2200 battery using a HW Skywalker 50A ESC and a 4S XFly 4600Kv motor. But I don't hear what the EDF size is in mm. I guess if I knew what EDF the XFly 4600Kv Motor fits, that would tell me what size EDF it powers. My own 80mm FW A-4 runs a 3530-1850Kv motor, and my 90mm F/A-18 EDF runs on a 3672-1750Kv motor. I also built a dual 70mm EDF with dual 2680-Kv2200 motors. Based on your Kv of 4600, I'm guessing it's not a 70mm EDF, or is it? A 50 or 64mm EDF is my best guess.
@NoonzAirborneRC11 ай бұрын
@hifinsword understood. But this jet is easily googable. I did not mention edf size as u can print this in many options. If I said a particular size. I'd have people blasting comments that's not right. It this size and more. This particular one is a 50mm edf size which is the stock stl file availiable from eclipson. That being said. Tou can scale the model up 125% (just a little bigger) and fit a 64mm. 150ish% for 70mm (be too big for hand tossing) 👍
@NoonzAirborneRC11 ай бұрын
@hifinsword at 200% should fit a 80mm or 90mm have to scale and see. At that size tou can engineer retracts and flaps In The model. Wh8ch be cool maybe give that a try

when you know how a model GLIDES, you will know how to land it.! in other words, a pilot should, at a safe altitude, OBSERVE a model's gliding behavior, BEFORE landing it.!!!

Cheap servos on a jet ???? Naaah bloke, you want to get digital servos, preferably programmable ones. EG KST X06 or X08's. Digital servos are a LOT more accurate, which is what you need. On the downside theya are a LOT moe expensive (40USD for an X06), but you get what you pay for. Low rates should be fine, perhaps you need to put some expo in there to quiten things down for small movements around the centre stick
@NoonzAirborneRC5 ай бұрын
@binkysquiggums cheap servos work just fine and over 40 flights. Why spend that much? The whole reason to 3d print planes is to keep costs low compared to buying a jet. This jet all in is under 100.00 electronics, rx, lipo, pla. If it goes down cost $8.00 All you said I did. This was the absolute first flight. No one knows rated expo out the gate mysteriously from the get go. She's a hoot to fly! Thanks for watching Even made a 64mm version aswell! 👊🇺🇲👍
