If threads are too tight, take the fitting back out and heat it over a flame for a few seconds. It will soften the plastic as you screw it in.

The gear pumps flow depends of the speed of the motor. I need to make a pump and your videos are the best option I have found. Thanks.

I might miss the water pump development, you are really honing your skill, almost no leaks. Looking forward to whatever comes! I like your style. btw i wonder how modifying the intake runner would help performance. perhaps a split fork Y directing the flow around the gears?

TIP: get a 3D pen I 3D print a lot and prints break a LOT and its just super easy just to break out the 3D pen and weld the plastic back together! Also thanks for showing your errors. makes me feel better about mine...... great vid!

Great sense of humour! I think it's time to completely rethink your pump design approach and strategy. I thought you quit these a while back but understand the "damnit, I'm no quitter" attitude! Working on a completely new "thing" will be good for your mind and subs too. Looking forward to seeing the next video

As always Interesting Video! One advice i can give you: you can try out sealing cords for End caps. You can get them in any cord diameter. Just cut them to the length you need and use superglue on the ends to make a custom O-Ring. Makes it a bit easier and less messy, if you have to open these caps again for whatever reason. Keep it up!

If the inlet and outlet ports were designed separately and printed perpendicular to the flow of water then the layers wouldn’t separate. Then if they did fail you could simply print more and even modify the entire design without having to replace the main gear housing. 🥳

About a year ago, I attempt to fix clearances in a friend’s files of a gear pump he had designed and since they are precisely precise precision tools with intertwined intolerable tolerances, finely tuning and or fixing it went out the window with the first step of the project just like you also recently experienced 😅 What really fcuks with my mind is the gear rotation direction and flow direction are seemingly opposite when point of reference is referenced accordingly. The water enters the housing maybe’ and is immediately presented with a quantum shift around the drive gears, smashed but not compressed against the housing then suddenly rejoined in the matrix with not a moment too soon before collimating out the exit orifice of low pressure, or high pressure now, lolz

Right!? One expects the flow to go straight down the center in-between the gears. NOPE! The flow of the fluid wraps around in-between the walls and gears. If you want higher flow you need to focus the geometry of the vallies, such as the root circle, pitch circle and the Dedendum. The only parts that needs to be precise are the gaps between the addendum or the tip of the gear and the outer walls. The second precise location are the face of the teeth, they need to maintain a good seal with each other.

gear pumps, lobe pumps and screw pumps is good at building pressure, not velocity.. so if you really want to see the performance, you need to connect a pressure gauge to it.

For the love of god when will you stop putting COMING SOON! in the link of the files? Some designs you upload and some you put coming soon but I find your designs to be awesome and unique and I want to print them! PS: on your video of the pressure washer you put the pumps in parallel instead of in series. I know very little of fluids but I believe putting them in series (one after the other) would make the pressure washer have more pressure in exchange of being less able to push more quantity of water. Thank you a lot if you happen to read this

I`ve disassmble NSh-10 (НШ-10) for repair and it`s made more complicated. There are double seals. Outside from inner seal connected for intake, to eleminate sealing leakage on high preshure. P.S. And it`s not self priming. If you tell the highpreshure pump to suck it woudnt do it. P.P.S. And used one cost not so many - around 10-15$, if you want to made HP washing machine.
