Away for a week, doing some filming (hopefully :)), this video is mostly a way to put some ideas out there and see what people like and would like to see published. Especially the big camera arm, it works well enough for me so I dont have much reason to upgrade it, but its also not polished enough for me to publish yet. If theres enough interest on this video ill put the time in to finish that because it does have some advantages over other designs.

Laser cutting floor mats.. I gotta steal that idea. That's really smart.

Def taking inspiration from this! I just started a project to make a camera jib from an old tripod and 3D printed parts!

toss you some decent steppers on that camera arm and you could be rockin' a belt and pinion based motion system in an afternoon. now that would be dynamic.

This is sick! would love a vid showing the design process you go through while making your builds ( cad etc )

I’ve been making exactly the same gear cases, also from floor mats but with an exacto knife instead of a laser cutter

Love this video! as a filmer I've also made some small tools here and there that help me in my process as well as with storage 😊 I recently just made a large plate with an ¼" thread in the middle. Combined with a magic arm with a mini tripod, that also goes super low (and is super light when you travel with it)

Dude!!! Heck yeah!! I just got a printer for the exact same reason and a few more. I have a few gear ideas I have drawn out over the past year. Great products and ingenuity!

Very creative. Have you worked with cnc laser cutters, routers or waterjets for things like "The Boss" signs? They seem like a better tools for that. Keep up the good work!

That ball vice is a great idea, move the work is smart thinking..do you have it filled with concrete for ballast. Can you upload a model of that and the camera jig

Awesome video. I'm always printing tools to make my work easier (as I look at your orbital ball vice I printed that still nees the actual vice part) I think you just ignited all the Rigging/Lighting guys' PTSD with the light mounts. Make sure you're using plastic that will malform rather than break so you can tell if it's failing... Before its proving gravity for you 😆
