If the joints on the printed trap are stiff, it might need a bit more sanding or greasing to smooth out the door hinges.

The patern on the left is better, but someone who catches mice for a living knows they would eat through plastic like butter. (Also the smell from the original would attract more mice thinking it’s safe)

I've wondered this about my conventional snap traps. Seems they're just as, if not MORE popular AFTER they've claimed a few rodents, which you might think the smell of death would drive them away.

Yes, indeed! PLEASE handle those delicate, brittle, paper labels CAREFULLY! They’re what gives your traps their value! Without intact, original labels, the traps become just so much devalued junk!

If you were to add a hole from the holding chamber out the bottom you could just attach it to the top of a bucket to increase the storage capacity and limit the damage to the trap. Have a great day

@@BeerkegGarage most motion cams only record footage that happened right before they were triggered, during a trigger, and a little while after the last time it was triggered. it saves memory and time browsing the videos. some might be able to just record constantly but just flag any footage it saw near a trigger event. I'd imagine they might have a setting to save footage where it didn't see anything in a lower resolution and/or time-lapsed, again to save memory.

Before finishing the video I would be more concerned the mice will chew through that 3D trap. Filament isn't that strong.

Commenting before watching the comparison. I think the antique will be more successful for one reason. The scent of other mice. No doubt the trap was used before and the familiar scent of the mice might be enough to persuade other mice into entering it.

I recently had a plastic trap where the trigger was sticking, an Owltra. I lubed the trigger contact points with liquid dishwashing soap and then it worked fine.

I used the 3d printed version and caught all the mice in my house. However, they started to gnaw through font grill so I had to upgrade it with a metal grill. But it still cleaned my house of mice.
