Every 3d Printer will need calibration at some point. This video explains a new free browser-based tool for sending G-Code to your 3d Printer as part of the calibration process.
This technique is compatible with most FDM 3d printers, including Creality, Prusa, Monoprice, Anet, and JG Maker.

I am new to 3d printing and have learned a lot from your channel. This particular video was helpful in getting my first printer calibrated (just recently received). Thank you for providing the calibration routines and sharing. I was off on both measurements somewhat. Now to see if my prints change.

@@skyrider4789 So far it has been very good. I have performed a lot of the steps this channel has recommended and I have had literally no problems printing. I am very watchful of using the auto leveling and adjusting the Z height before each printing session just to make sure. It has been successful.

Excellent video Dr. Vax. This is a great refresher for me on calibrating many things without actually going into the Firmware or even the printer menu to edit/save values. I am in the process of teaching my mother how to print with an Ender 5 and I have needed a refresher course on almost everything myself so I can accurately and coherently explain things to her. We are now learning together, and referencing your videos quite often! This method of calibration is fast and easily accessible; nice!

I have an Ender 5 + and use a Macbook Pro (and happy to see you use a Mac also). Thanks for your helpful videos. I've been learning my machine and thought I could avoid having to deal with E-steps since it was over my head when I started, but have the bandwidth now to learn it and am excited to find this and am intrigued. My E5+ is with the stock display and I use PrusaSlicer, so there was no obvious way to do this, but this seems like a good option to try. Thank you!

Hi Irv, Thank You for creating the Browser Based 3D Printer GCode Terminal Calibration Tool. I am very pleased with this tool, as I had no trouble connecting and sending GCode and receiving data to and from my ender 5. Prior to using this I tried to use Repetier_Host, I was able to get a connection but unable to send and receive GCodes on this program. For the past 2 years or more I have been a subscriber to your channel and find your presentations to be easy to understand. As you do not cut corners and are very precise with your information. Do not get me wrong Tim from TH3D is good also but I find your presentations to be more refined and understandable. I have joined you forum under the following name Liebrand_G. Regards Gary Liebrand

Really dig that web serial functionality is taking off. Is there any interesting in getting a general purpose gcode sender that works from the browser? I have been investigating building one but have not had the time.

Hi, you don't have to copy & paste results of M303, it has U flag. Just use something like: M303 E0 S200 U1 and then M500 .

I have recently bought an Ender 5 Plus and because the GUI is pitiful and doesent have hardly any controls other than the very basics I have to use the terminal on Octoprint and Pronterface but this is laid out much easier and the list of common codes is genius.

Thanks for creating this site! A couple of things. Could you put a 'set to temp' command in the extrude 100mm part? Yeah, I'm lazy and like to copy and paste! :) And, you have a few typos you probably want to fix, since we're all perfectionists, right? :)

Dr. Vax, thank you for all of your videos. I tried to use your software, everything seemed to be fine except I get not response when I type in a command. It shows [SENT] M115 and nothing happens after that. Using an Artillery Sidewinder X1. Installed a new extruder and hotend, I know the esteps need to be changed. Thank you

Sorry for the serial replies. Based on your comment and a couple of others I have added two additional baud rates to the terminal app. 230,400 and 250,00. You might want to try 250000 for your Sidewinder X1. If this does not work please head over to forum.drvax.com, register and repost your question there. I will be able to interact with your more easily on the forum.

Irv, your sound seems a bit muffled today. Also an audible thump every time you put your hands on the table. Do you need to physically isolate your microphone from your table? Great video though, as usual! Nice to find a use for Edge, until you told us that Chrome can do this too!

I will look into your observation about the sound. I had noice canceling turned up in the post processing to adjust for the Ender 3 v2 fan noise and I may have over done it.

@MakeWithTech

Good question. The terminal feature will work but you would have to check to see if all of the tuning commands are supported. I no longer have a stock ANET machine so I cannot check. However you will do no harm by trying.

Hi. I have an Anet A8 plus. I tried to update my PID settings using your software. Everthing when fine. I entered M500 to save settings. I disconnected, turn the printer off, turned it on again and it reverted back to the old settings. I repeated the whole process twice to check I hadn't done anything wrong and got the same result. Now my prints are failing saying MIN TEMP. It's running Marlin 1.0 and on my LCD there is no SAVE SETTING function which I find pretty odd. Can anyone help? Cheers
