Very good tutorial for beginners. You hit on fusion tools that I used on almost all of my functional projects. A chamfer on the top and bottom of the flat would have been a nice addition to show ways of removing the need for support.

Thank you! I struggle with how much and what to put in the videos. I am hoping if I make enough, I will hit most of the highlights.

Thank You, I learned so much about that total mystery of threading in fusion.. this is great, I wanna play around a lot with this now. Great video!

Like the fact that you introduced tolerances, that seems to be one of the big advantages to Fusion over Tinkercad. Have a great New Year

I'm new to 3D printing and 3D modeling, but this I'm slightly further along than this. But I'm a "learn as I go" type of person, which means I miss the underlying reason for something being the way it is, sometimes. That's a long-winded way of saying I appreciate this series a whole lot because you're filling in gaps I didn't even know I had :)

Great video as always Chris. One thing i'd like to point out is that you want to be adding a clearance rather than tolerance between your parts. Clearance is the amount by which one object clears another. Tolerance is about allowable deviation. I think 3D printing filament with its listed dimensional accuracy of +/- 0.02mm might be a good example of a tolerance where as the distance between a threaded hole, and the machine screw threads is its clearance. Smart people in the comments... feel free to correct me as necessary.

Nice video, Chris. Just some constructive criticism. You are adding a clearance to the measurement or part, not a tolerance.

Yep, tolerance can be +/-. And I agree that it was a good video.

Instead of doing the Offset plane for the cylinder you can just use the Tangent Plane.

Just so if he sees this he'll know the correct word. It's "MODELED".

LOL, did I say molded? Ha ha, making videos is hard. Thanks all, noted.

Be careful Chris, a monetized youtube channel probably falls outside of what the personal license for fusion allows. This could get you into trouble and you might want to cut the header out.

That's too bad, I was wondering how well those were going to work.
