My guess is the GCN logo became blurry due to the solvent in the resin. Coat 3D prints before putting them in 2 part epoxy

could Alex come up with some bike related 3d printed accessories for a video? Maybe a bike computer mount (although not sure it would be strong enough from what Alex said in this video).

I think it's a rule somewhere that anything 3D printed qualifies as 'Supernice'. No exception here.

Firstly, to not go across the whole of the worktop with resin is a crime! Secondly I doubt “instant grab” glue will be sufficient (if used as a proper workbench). Thirdly, who polishes the aluminium after installing... Unless you want to advertise a product! That said other than what I criticised I really like this garage build.

Nice job Alex! On the other half you can maybe drill a hole, wider than GCN logo, in wood itself, put logo in it and cover with resin. Once dry, polish, it should be leveled with worktop. Bonus point for drilling from inside of cupboard to the top, and put LEDs to lighten logo up.

I think I’d have cut a hole in the worktop, superglued the 3D print onto a piece of Perspex and mount that underneath, then resin back-fill to make it flush with worktop surface. But just an idea!

I've actually got that same model of printer on my desk next to me; it's actually quite a bit more capable than Alex lets on here. While I'd guess that he's using PLA for this print, you can set it up to print with ABS plastic, which can be used for any plastic parts you'd have on your bike.
@LewisRawlinson30

Should have taped over the top of the print, then peel it off the build plate. Then you can stick it all down together and the tape holds all the bits in the right spot.

@Alex Did you not think about embedding the logo into the table? You could have cut whatever diameter the logo is into the table Print it as a "Mirror image" so you can simply face it down still stuck onto that black thing that you were holding it on . Pour resin into the hole and let it dry with the logo on the surface. Then simply sand away that black holder thing away and boom simple easy and centred perfectly

It ain’t a cycling workbench till it’s dinged up, chipped, stained with grease and oil, has a few stickers here and there. Needs to look worn and banged up. Need to come back in a few years for when it has that lived in look. Oh, can’t forget to spill some coffee here and there. Every cycling work bench I’ve been around has a few coffee cup rings and spills.

Hi GCN. Love the content and I get alot og tricks here. It's also very intertaning to watch. Question. I'm a triathelete and I have a FELT IA1 with SRAM eTAP. I clean my bike every week to keep it in good combat shape. When I clean the bike I usually use a graden-hose to get rid of some dirt. Then MUC-off is applied. And degresse and all that good stuff. At the end I use the garden hose over the entire bike (low pressure of course) to get rid of the MUC-off. But the problem is that water gets into the frame (via the seatpost). It also happens when it's raining alot. Is there a easy way to let the water drip out or is the only way to flip over the bike and make the water run out? I know that some a drilling holes into the bottom of the frame to let water escape. I also see here is a hatch for the internal routing in the bottom. Could that be used for draining perhaps? #AskGCNTech

you want to treat yourself ? i know a doctor, Michele Ferrari, you will see, he had good result. You already own a superbike ! Upgrade your outfit and your helmet, eventually an aero dropbar ? It looks like you like aero thing (404 are 60mm right ?) and choose a dropbar that fit you perfectly for your type of ride.
