Wow, the old Crud Catcher brings back memories as the printing on them was initially done at my father’s print shop (Paperstat Print) back in the day. I was just starting to explore the wonderful world of MTB back then as a kid and learned that when visiting the shop one evening, that I had just missed Pete Tomkins and apparently his awesome MTB, so I was a bit deflated but I was given a Crud Catcher so I was thrilled about that. Awesome bike cave Doddy!

The one thing that caught my eye is the Avid Speed Dial lever. I have some black/silver 1.9's in my spare parts box, and a pair of SD2s in the grey/black colour scheme on a bike I gave to a friend, with firm warning that the levers are still mine and he's just borrowing them. Try and make a BB7 work as well with anything else...

As a diesel tech I had to have duplicates of some tools Some times you will need two 15mm wrenches. But at my dads he has 5 of them in the same drawer as 4 15mm, with 6 10mm, with 7 13mm wrenches and a single 1/2" thin wall 3/8 drive deep well socket with a crack in it. Takes for ever to find what you need. But it's cool.

@GMBNTech I would just like to say that Doddy, I didn't know your first name was Andrew, and I had no idea that you're [not actually] gay [but totally okay with being vague as hell about that ish]...I feel like you let so many of us into your world just now and I absolutely love it! (Sorry, I just met you last year when I stumbled across GMBN Tech so I'm probably the last one to learn these things about you.) Regardless, mad respect for having your [plutonic friend] partner featured in the video tearing down the old structure to help you live your dream of remaining a bike tech guru. So many ppl may have glossed over that part but you did not and it says a ton about you. Also, yeah the cave was absolutely amazing. 😁 I am most impressed that it is purpose-built from exterior structure and not just a refurbished area of the existing interior. No small feat!

Nice bike cave 👍 you have everything l need in that horde. I rember reading mint soure back in the 90s dreaming of owning a kline Attitude, whilst riding around on my GT Avalanche that ran the first panracer smoke tyres. I remember that first crudcatcher, if lm not mistaken, lm sure MBUK gave one away with an issue once. Never throw that retro stuff out, it's mountain bike history and shows how far we have moved on today, it's good to horde 😁

Very cool. Lots & lots of memorabilia that covers everything that you have been involved in. These are the little bits that turn a plain old workspace into a Bike Cave. I've got a little peg or two that has all my race plates - nothing special but they all have a meaning to me and something to talk about if someone asks. Martyn should be next - what has he done with all his old bikes??
