@@mashugames5401 you're right that larger nozzles are weird but they're still designed to smoosh filament By floating the nozzle instead of smooshing here, he can get the largest layer height possible with the nozzle. I think he did this to try and make the print more transparent. The big downside is that since he isn't smooshing the filament like you're supposed to the print won't be as strong

Looks incredible! From my experience, the bubbles could be caused by water trapped in the PLA which vaporizes during printing to form larger bubbles. Normally not a problem till the filament has absorbed quite a bit of moisture, but since this is clear it'll be more prominent

@FlashDrive356
@FlashDrive356 Жыл бұрын
@@isaiahschwartz1381 Yeah! Though you don't need to put it in for more than an hour or so. I'd do some research because I don't recall the temp and time to use off the top of my head. Food dehydrators also do a decent job, but are better for storing filament then completely getting the moisture out. I would also recommend getting filament boxes with vacuum pumps or silica packets for storage if you don't have any.

The bubbles is most likely trapped moisture. The bigger beads you print the more likely you see them. Also the nozzle shouldn't float so high. It's worth experimenting so you're directly extruding to the nozzle tip rather than just dropping material onto the part.

The little bubbles is cause by surface moisture in the spool. Try putting the filament in a heated chamber or heat it before the print. It should help a lot 👍 (I do this using clear 2.85mm PETG using a 2.5mm nozzle)

that's so cool, never thought pla could be clear, the bubbles are caused by the material, almost all filaments are hallow in the middle from cooling during the manufacturing process so when u melt the filament down the air gets trapped and u can see it because it's clear. that's why some filaments look like a tube.

Those bubbles are water getting vaporized or defects in the line getting trapped air. You can get those bubbles out, but you need to actually have some pressure on your tip when extruding. With your nozzle so high above your print surface, there's no internal pressure required to pop those bubbles. Basically, do exactly what you're already doing, but closer to your print surface.
