I’ve been waiting for this ever since the insta post. I’m about as broke as a college kid can get and successfully convincing the school that our makerspace needs a 3d scanner is going to be impossible but i’ve really wanted to make a scan of my dashboard auxiliary buttons panel and a intake funnel for my fbo FA1. Hopefully FreeCad or blender can work instead of Fusion. Great tutorial

Blender can get you very far, only issue is when you need to have kind of precise measurements to ensure fitment (for example screw holes) and diameters, it doesn't really give an option to work geometry based.

don't think you can. It uses FaceID technology to scan.

3d print a bracket that slips onto your phone that holds a small makeup mirror at about 45deg. then you are able to hold your phone like a remote. I sent my prototype of this to the scandy team a few years ago and then they began offering a similar design on their website.
