Other thing with AMS you can do is support with 0 distance. PLA and PETG don’t stick to another, so you can make supports with 0 distance and this is very simple to break away.

Well, if you don’t see any new videos pop up, you’ll know what’s up XD The switches I implemented are rated for a voltage and amperage higher than what the Dutch network can provide (240 volts at 20 amps). It's true that most of these are rated for 24 volts, and I had to search for a while to find ones up to the task. However, I’m taking your concerns into consideration and doing additional research. Thank you for the feedback.

@Argosh2 ай бұрын
Those switches are fine as long as they're rated for the voltage and current you use. You'd still want to properly ground them though. Also you might want to invest in a cheap crimping tool. If you simply crimp on connectors you get auch safer connection, not that the way it is right now is unsafe, it's just not as safe as it should be nowadays.

Generally to switch high voltage you use a relay with a say a 5 volt control line. You can even get optically isolated relays for the ultimate in safety.

Have you tried 3d scanning with the Lidar from an iphone or ipad to see how that compares with your new 3d scanner? especially when it comes to making 3d prints with accurate dimensions. I have used my ipads 3d scanner to scan rooms with +/- 1cm accuracy usually, which for such a large item, seems pretty great. But I haven't tried on small things for 3d print design use - mainly because I am not sure how to import and design from 3d models. As it is, i feel pretty basic at the 3d cad software i use to make my 3d prints.

Ive indeed been using the Lidar on my iPad for a lot of stuff similar to what your describing, the 3d scanner is quite a lot better at small objects tho its absolutely insane how much detail it captures, in this video I don't show it off quite as much but I'm doing a somewhat dedicated video on it soon :)

Maybe you use PETG HF instead of PLA. I switched to PETG HF, cause it is much more heat resistant and flexible than PLA, perfect for my automotive usecase. And with HF Version from Bambulabs you are not limited with lower print speed than PLA. Newest filament is TPU for AMS. Ordered today some for testing. When it works like intended then it is perfect because I don’t want to change everytime manually to TPU.

How do you import your 3d scans into shapr3d? I also use shapr and was thinking about picking up a scanner but I only use it on my iPad basically so wasn’t sure how that process would work
@FlatLanderTech2 ай бұрын
I export the scan as an STL on the Scanner software, send it over to the ipad via either Airdrop or google drive, hit import at the top with the little 3 dots, select the file, its going to ask if you want to import in, mm and all the other stuff, i keep it on mm, and its in, and in that way its emediately accurate aswel. :)

@FlatLanderTech No funny reference aside LLM's are built on copyright infringement and theft. It goes against every value the 3D printing community stands for. From the beginning 3D printing has been about like-minded engineers, enthusiasts, hobbiest, and tinkerers, coming together as a community to build an open sourced project mostly just because it seemed cool to do. Adding turblet and unethically trained, sourced, and run systems like LLM's to that would be poison in the well.

Using just stranded wires on screw terminals for AC is quite dangerous and against any electrical code. I'd fix it before anything happens, your insurance wouldn't even cover it.
@KirinDave2 ай бұрын
I just checked and in my US State, that's not illegal for that type of terminal. I don't see a broader enclosure to the mainstream switchers though and I think that's illegal in the box (and also dangerous). Whats illegal here is the unshielded cable box not being fixed to a wall. But this is a technicality because once the panel had its own external shielding it's a bit of a grey zone on if it's an appliance or a cable box.
