Did you do the smoke test while running the fans? Because i wouldn't be so quick to make it completely airtight. Otherwise your creating a vacuum with the vans running and you won't have the airflow to move the voc's. Really the van running should be enough to create a lower air pressure inside, this ensuring the voc's will get stocked out by the van.

Interessting idea, most people just buying plant tents, carbon filter and extractor for resin printing.
@DavydAtkins4 күн бұрын
What you did with the smoke machine is a very valid form of testing. It's literally called a "smoke test" and is used to detect leaks in air tight systems. It's also where the software industry took the term for a basic test pass to check that everything meets minimum stability requirements

Imagine what this great man could do if he used a real CAD tool. You have a nice mind creating really good ideas. Keep it up with the videos buddy.

Shapr3d is a pretty solid tool. Pun not intended, but it is parametric solids. Manipulating the view and models on a tablet is incredibly intuitive, even more so than Fusion with a Spacemouse.
@thedabblingwarlock4 күн бұрын
1. VOCs are gaseous and will disperse into the air. You'll need to seal that leak. A bead of caulk around the seams should make it airtight. 2. You can solvent weld acrylic. What solvents you use depends on what results you're going for, I think. 3. Smoke tests are a valid way to see if something is airtight and if the airflow is right. Cool project! Looking forward to seeing more.

Hey, I’m just starting on 3D modeling and printing using an ipad (10th gen) and I dont really know where to start, what’s the best app, materials, do u have a guide for the people that are just starting? Btw, great vid, since i meet ur channel, i got even more motivated to start doing, thx for the incredible content
@FlatLanderTech4 күн бұрын
The only thing I can really tell you is my personal favorite workflow; however, I can't say with certainty if it's the best or if it's good for everyone. My all-time favorite CAD software (modeling software) is Shapr3D. It works on the iPad, and it's so intuitive that I rarely need to watch tutorials to learn how to do things. Absolutely amazing software! In terms of materials, I've only just started working with resin, so I'm not sure what the best options are. For FDM printing, I prefer PLA. Some people who are much smarter than I am in the comment sections of my videos have also recommended PETG, I believe. Sadly, I mostly focus on build projects on my channel, so I don't have guides or anything like that, but I hope this helped a little. :)

@@FlatLanderTech Remember those old laptops with nipple joysticks in the keyboard? They're called keyboard pointersticks. Less repetitive movement than a trackball, a smaller footprint, and if you need precision you can code degree layers/zones were the sensitivity drops or spikes. Space efficient and cheap! You could even take off the rubber cap and 3d print a small ergonomic joy stick!

Question: HDMI Adapter what brand is this? My HDMI Adapter ist powered by Usb and very bulky. Since a long time ago I use AR Glases, like them because you have a big screen and can also see the surroundings and the look not completely ridiculous like the apple vision pro. Since short time I switched to the virtue glasses, because they have Dioptrie compensation in it and you don’t need extra glasses for the AR Glasses. Current is this they way to go to work every were.

So you are expecting that he would spend a lot of his time making these things and even more time to film and edit those videos, pay his own money for all the equipment such as cameras lights etc and do all these things for free and not have any sponsorship?
@rxndomlyrix226010 күн бұрын
It is a small channel and he spends huge amounts of time to design and build the stuff and produce the videos at the amazing quality he does. How’s a man supposed to live if he doesn’t get paid for his time? In my opinion at least he does exceptionally well at integrating sponsorships into his project and doesn’t just build something a company told him to when it doesn’t actually fit into his style of builds and content. Obviously ads are annoying but I think his commitment definitely deserves a payoff.
@gustavo.visuals10 күн бұрын
He's giving us amazing, free content and you complain about sponsorships? If the sponsor product was super out of place I would understand, but in this case, it fits setup and concept. People are never happy with anything

Random question, why do you say "we" when it only ever seems to be you working on this project seemingly just for yourself?
@FlatLanderTech10 күн бұрын
I feel its a collaborative project between the viewer ( you ) and me. we make stuff, not necessarily the physical object, its more the fact that the process is shared, so I do the projects more for this experience which is then externalized and shared with you.
