The design of Face shield is taken from 3D printing community specifically from 3Dverkstan. we have taken Europe 4 hole punch file. This design doesn't require any elastic band to stay on head, its just the tension of the 3D print. it was designed for standard A4 Size transparent sheet. This Face Shield is add on Protection over N95 Mask.
Cura software settings:
*Print speed 160 mm/s (This can be reduced depending on the 3D Printer)
*Layer height 0.3mm
*Infill 0%
*Wall thickness: 1.6mm
*Printing temperature: 210°C (as we are using PLA as printing material)
Printing Time: 33 Min for one print.
Key Benefits of face shield:
*It Protects our full face from all respiratory droplets.
*Easy to assemble. (Just need to press fit transparent sheet into 3D printed part)
*Easy to wash.
*Light weight.
*Comfortable fit without any elastic band.
Introduction of 3D printing:
* 3D printing is a technology of additive manufacturing, comes under Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM).
* In this process of 3D printing plastic filament is consistently feeded into heated nozzel where plastic is heated upto fused state and then extruded on a platform layer by layer to create a 3D plastic part.
