I think i would JB Weld on center cracks > then Bondo and sand smooth > then paint. Also, clear Lexan acrylic bends well in hot water so I'd upgrade the lens also.

Do you remember what thickness of spring wire was used for your m1911? (the recoil spring, I assume the magazine doesn't matter as much)

I used 0.6 mm. Then it was to weak somehow so I double stacked it. Now it works. It does get tangled a bit but it still works. 1mm was a bit to strong for me. For the mag I would use something similar or at least nothing too strong since the slide has to push the round out of the mag.

Sorry, there are no 2D drawings available. You can use the printed model as a template. This makes it easier to make leather.
