Great video! I do believe there is a step missing though. To set the "home", after getting the correct pressure on the paper, there is a "Z=0" button to set the new home.

Holy Cow! 40 minutes? The curing station is so strong you will never need more than 5 t0 7 minutes.

Just started with these machines; any recommendation for curing time for a bunch of 28 mm minis featuring in the plate? I'd say 3 min but I really don't know... thanks!

Interesting! Would make amazing puzzle shape pieces for a gold retrieval system. Not sure how long the resins would hold in regards to water and rock impact, but if classified, the materials would be smaller in size. Would take forever to make 5ft by 6in at 3 pcs per 2 inch. If those pieces you made, took 8hrs, then I'm thinking 90 pcs would take 360hrs or 15days. Gotta be pricey lol

I’ve had mine for a week or so but haven’t printed my parts I’ve made i fusion360 yet. Just the miniature characters it comes with etc. I’m curious about the accuracy on scale and tolerances. I measured some printed parts and they seem larger than the scale it’s showing from within chitubox / fusion360. I have the same washer / curing machine as well and was wondering after the IPA wash and then water rinse if it’s ok to pour that water down the drain in the sink or not. I’m not sure about your resin but the elegoo resin I am using only needs to be cured for a couple of minutes. And the layer cure time only needs about 2.5 seconds between layers. One more thing I did was changed the settings for the heave support for the top part where they touch the model. I made them a little less that what the top part settings are for medium. That way the supports are thick but when they touch the model they are very small. My settings for heavy supports are: Top: Contact shape: sphere Contact diameter: .70 Contact depth: .30 Lower diameter: 1.4 Middle: Diameter: 1.4 Bottom: Thickness: 1.0 Model contact shape: sphere Contact diameter: 1.0 Contact point: 3 Raft: none All the rest of the settings are default and I always use heavy supports

I just bought the same printer (for hobby purposes, wargame miniatures and little scenery pieces), and every other video I've watched uses your settings, 25-35 s for the first 5-6 layers and 2-3 s for the rest. I had never seen rinsing in water after the isopropanol washing (2 min), leave the closed isopropanol jar at sunlight so the remaining uncured resin particles cure and precipitate, and then filter and decant the isopropanol to be reused again...

I believe you can removed support material before curing with UV light

I'm trying to get my father in laws mars 2 pro working. For some reason it comes up out of the pool of resin at the start of the print, any ideas on how to stop this from happening?
@dalgibbard
@dalgibbard Жыл бұрын
Only 6 months late on this comment, but when you level the print bed, you also then need to remember to back out and choose the "set z=0" option in the menu, so that this is the zero point
@maxmartin4225
@maxmartin4225 Жыл бұрын
@Darren G no worries, yeah I set z to 0 everytime after leveling down onto a thick piece of paper, card I guess. He tells me that is what usually gets it working. I'm just sticking with my FDM for now I think lol

My machine only prints the first few layers and they're on the fep. I've tinkered around with curing times and upped them to 8 seconds and 60 seconds bottom time, and same result. Extremely sad. I even level after each heartbreaking 2 dimensional print. Any help 😔

@@rogg0224 ohh, have you tried CHITUBOX and the default profile for your printer? Then also look at the resin manufacturers website for the recommended layer cure times.

@@JustVoss yes. I use chitubox. I tried first with the reccomended times of 35 seconds bottom cure time and 2.5 seconds cure time. It failed.
