I think if you raised your chute a bit so as the grate was an inch or so below the bottom of the chute it would expose more of the wood ends for a bigger burn.

Your TIG welds are so clean! Great job! I'm going to try to make a rocket stove. I am a beginner in welding. I bought a welder that will do MIG, TIG, STICK welding. Wish me luck! I did some stick welding in high school 50 years ago.

I like the way you presented this information. It actually asked and answered questions that I would have never thought of while I decided what I wanted to start with on my first forays into welding.

Not a single crumb of helpful information at all on how to practically use the balance function. Just another regurgitated explanation of ac balance which there seems to be almost 100 videos for, with a WD40 advertisement

I literally explain how to use it and what it does. It just takes a little critical thinking to apply it.

Came for the rocket stove, left because of the obnoxious generic "southern rock" loop throughout the whole video.

You really should try for a design that has an area for ash that leaves better air draw in the bottom. This design will require it to be cleaned out pretty frequent or it'll choke the air flow of an already fairly small air inlet.

Love the design!! I'll give it a try

I went straight out and bought a bandsaw, air compressor, air grinder, mig welder and all of the material to make the stove, and I can confirm that it is a good stove. Luckily, I already had the cast-iron pan.

I noticed smoke coming out of the feed tube at the top. How can you eliminate that? The draft is not strong enough to pull from the feed tube because the bottom port you made for air is countering it...
