3D Split Braid | Three Different Looks

A viewer emailed us this fab braid technique and asked that we share it with you! My girls and I immediately fell in LOVE with it!
We call it the 3D Split Braid, because it does have a similar look to our 3D Round Braid, but the stitching is completely different. You literally "split" the outside strands in your braiding! How cool is that?
Kamri and I teach you the technique, but I also show you a few other hairstyles I created while using it. This is yet another braid you can add to your base/combo arsenal, as you can use it in a bun, ponytail, side braid, tieback, accent, etc!
We are also classifying this hairstyle as a "Daddy 'Do" because it is easy enough even a dad can do it!

I lovvve this braid!!! Easy but looks like you put a lot of work into😊 Could you please do a video on haircare for all the kids, how you keep it healthy and haircuts etc. Their hair looks is shiny and healthy. I have three girls and it gets overwhelming at times especially with the summer all the pool time and sun really dries out their hair.

+CuteGirlsHairstyle This may be a weird question but, I Love the way Karmi's hair is! I have the same hair color and my hair is so hard to deal with and not like her hair. That's not weird. He hair is really pretty. But it probably has a lot to do with her hair type. I think they briefly mention all of their hair care and hair types in a video from about 6 months or so ago. Hope I helped a little.

Can you do some looks for shorter hair. I can't do any of your recent hair styles because of the thickness of my hair. My hair is a little longer than my shoulders. I would love it if you would because i don't have any ideas... Thanks :)

I would suggest going through some of the older videos. I know how you feel - I have super thick hair, too! If you can pull your hair up into a ponytail (High or low) , you could do a Dutch braid or French braid or some twists in the front before tying the ponytail. Honestly, there are lots of option. All the best!

When you split it, if the top section of the split hair is thinner than the bottom, it was give it a braid-within-a-braid look 😉 just pancake out the bottom "layer" when finished to emphasize it 😄😄 BRAIDCEPTION!

Nope. We've done a 3d Round braid (diff technique but looks similar) and a 3d fishtail braid (looks diff and using fishtailing instead of braiding).

I love this braid because it is different from a regular braid, but also easy and it looks really nice. While watching the video I quickly just tried it by myself and it is really easy to do in your own hair, and it looks like I can easily do it in the hair of my horses.
