Years ago I was learning the student versions of Maya and Motionbuilder. It took over my life. I had no life. It was fun but took so much time, especially the rendering. So like 4 years ago when I found the speed of Iclone I was hooked. I set a goal no more than 2 hours a day working on 3d stuff. Usually an hour or so. Really is mostly silly fun stuff I do but it doesn't take much time. Your tutorial here shows me how I can improve the emotions and personalities of my characters. I have gotten pretty good with my iphone face capture and all Iclones facial controls but it totally lacks that realism (and cuteness and adorableness like you show here) so Iam excited to start improving the look and personalities of my characters. Nice thing I love about 3D work is ...... always learning :) 😁😁😁

You are truly the best...you never cease to amaze me
@animashinka3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Rodney!! Much appreciated! :) I learnt this from watching a Reallusion tutorial about how you can inflate a character's belly. And my first reaction was: When will I EVER need to inflate a belly? XD My second was: Hey, we can use it for our characters' expressions! In fact, I think we can even modify eye shapes and eyebrow locations for even faster expression animation! Regardless, I found the feature extremely useful! I only show a squash and stretch option, but you can use the same steps for pretty much anything! Including muscle bulging or correcting the character's mesh for certain poses! Super happy you enjoyed the video :3

Hello , any tricks to add tears while crying the character ? Like the droplets are falling from the eyes .
@animashinka2 жыл бұрын
Hey Cloud! Very interesting question! I did some research on youtube (I am not a professional, so I use a lot of tutorials X) ) And I found a channel called Mario Bortas - he has a very interesting technique, check it out, but here is what I would do too: 1. You create the shape of the tear and attach it to a motion path that starts inside the tear duct, follows the cheek's curve and ends wherever you want. You have to control the speed a bit (the tear will go faster or slower depending on its position and the shape of the cheek). 2. I would also play with the shape of the tear as it moves. I'll stretch the end more and more and flatten it as it goes. Then, as it reaches the jawline, it will gather itself back into a more rounder shape, wait and fall. 3. And I will also leave a wet trail. (A slightly darker, wetter look for the skin marking where the tear passed through). But that's just an extra detail. This is what I would do, but it's only in theory. I'll add it to my (evergrowing) list of possible short tutorials :). If you have time, let me know if you try it and if it's working or not.

How did you create morphs for the eyes? (iris and pupil)
@animashinka2 жыл бұрын
Hey J :) Do you have CC3? If yes, once you have your character avatar there, find the Iris/Pupil sliders in the Modify box. I mainly use two actually, but you can create as many as you want - I have one IAvatar where I only decrease the size of the pupil, and a second one where I decreased the whole Iris's size as much as possible. After saving these two new versions of your avatar (small pupil and small iris ivatar files) follow the usual steps to create the Morphs as shown in the video. If you don't have CC3, you can modify the meshes of the eyes (only resize the faces that effect the iris and pupil) in any program, such as Blender. Let me know if something is unclear or if you encounter any problems. :) Good luck!
@heirapparent48022 жыл бұрын

@@animashinka Ok. Are you using the pupil slider under the material settings? Oh and are you using the Digital Human Eye Shader?
@animashinka2 жыл бұрын
Just double-checked: I use the pupil and iris sliders in the Modify window>>MORPHS. But I just realized that these are in the Headshot folder - it's a CC3 plug-in (which comes at a significant extra cost) :( Didn't realize that! (I got it in a bundle when I first bought CC3) HOWEVER! Not to worry! There are a few solutions: 1 and 2 are you can manually adjust the size of the faces that cover the PUPIL area texture in either Iclone (Edit Mesh) or any 3D program. But an even easier and better way is 3. Get the GA Iris & Pupil Sliders! I actually have it too and use it all the time! You can find it in the Reallusion Marketplace>> Character creator>> Plugins! It costs DA points 300p (that's $3), but it's really worth it! You can use it to create all kinds of eyes, not just human. Once you adjust the new pupil, save it as a SEPERATE iAvatar file. The eyes are PBR textures but it doesn't matter so much. The most important part is the mesh. Let me know if it worked :)

Very nice and super cute animation that also explained a lot. While I can certainly believe that it has taken some time to do this, I think it is not because of render times. ;-) If I tried to do an 11-minute video, it would probably take around 3 weeks to render.
