MY recipe for US Floetrol Cellactivator
1part paint
1 part glue all
2 parts US Floetrol
a few drops of wood conditioner
acrylic ink as a thinner possible
I used the following paints:
in my CA:
Amsterdam - Titanium white
in my pouring medium:
atelier - blue/black
Firedots pigments (Discount code below) - caribean blue

@@WinterStromArt Narrating while you create feels more real, but you can mix in overdub when its needed. I wouldn't stress out too much over it. You can also mute sections of audio as you choose. Good audio is very hard. I sound like a weird robot when I do it. You sound like a real person and it seems you are becoming more comfortable the more you do. Win!

I love your art! Your presentation, and techniques are so unique and finished art pieces are so appealing! I wish I had the room to get this large rotating base that you invented and use, maybe some day. The small rotating cake stands that are used just can't do the larger pieces of art that most walls need. Others make fluid pieces and use colors that are often jarring and too bright but yours are so beautiful in their subtleness, You are gifted and we all benefit from you sharing your talent.

Beautiful! It’s so nice to see more people using US floetrol again! I discovered a recipe that a young lady on you tube created that works very much like Aussie floetrol but still has the character of the US version. She uses gloss medium, GAC 900 ( fabric medium so it’s stretchy) floetrol, water and minwax. I don’t know the ratios off the top of my head but her name is Arisa Roo. It works well with transfers too. By the way I love your unedited videos.

Oh yes, I’ve written her recipe down. Her results were fantastic. Somehow I couldn’t get it to work all that great. Maybe I’ll give it another try… thanks for the input! Do you mean the Monday version? It’s fun doing a more rough version of my sessions…

Yes, give it another go. I make a big batch and then as it gets older I add more minwax. I do struggle with white cell mix but the others no problem. Not sure if Monday’s but the unedited with out voice over. I think most people enjoy that and don’t mind longer videos plus makes it a lot easier on you😉

Yes, the cells are not as strong but I just found out that, if I use golden titanium white instead of Amsterdam it works better. I think because I can mix it a little thicker. I will try a transfer with that soon

Good morning Jessica, when you used that formula with oil, how is the process for varnish?

Good question. I actually have not varnished a piece with wood conditioner. (And, just to make sure, it doesn’t work with silicone oil) but I have resined some and I didn’t have to clean it or anything. I would just in case wipe it down with a mild soap. But, like I said I’m not 100% sure because I’ve never tried it…
