Pls show how to add runout and total runout gd&t in polyworks.
@3DInfotechinc Жыл бұрын
Currently, PolyWorks supports total runout, but it does not support circular runout. To apply Total Runout, a surface-based feature (like a plane, cylinder, cone) must be selected in the tree view. In the geometry controls, the GD&T controls button offers Total Runout along with other controls like Perpendicularity and Surface Profile. Total Runout is not available for curve-based features (like circles and lines) since curve-based features do not represent an entire 3D surface. Regarding circular runout, there is a workaround for replicating circular runout since that control is not yet offered. This workaround suffices because a circle can be the same as a cylinder with zero height. 1. Create a surface-based feature (like a plane, cylinder, cone) at the desired cross section location a. Ensure the height of this feature is reasonably small so that it uses measurement points only at (or near) the cross-section’s location 2. Apply a Total Runout control to this created feature

How to measure symetry? There is no such a feature like symetry in Polyworks.

Those can only be added to Slab or Pattern features.

In.the video never show the correct way how to create the GD&T Positioning
@3DInfotechinc Жыл бұрын
That can be done by selecting a relevant feature (circle, slot, point, etc.) in the tree view, and selecting "Add GD&T Control" shown around 0:45 in the video. The position will be an option in that menu if a relevant feature is selected.
