5 kids here 21, 15, 9, 7, 4 (ages) IF you want to keep making gains, managing your time is a must for dads. So early mornings when kids are asleep and if you want to do cardio or martial arts that goes late at night once kids are settled for the night. If you want the results wile also being a good father/dad you will have to manage your time well 💯👌💪

I'm not a dad, but this was a great podcast to learn from for the future. Definitely one to come back to when the time is right! 👍

I think flexibility is a big thing and splitting up training in ways where if you happen to skip a day or delay a day then you aren’t off schedule (ex. Full body, upper lower splits). Also setting the bar low in “essential” exercises to get in and “extra credit” if you have time. Home gym has really made it a game changer to workout during naps! We need some merch “Dads who lift: babies and barbells, we lift them all!”

Really great episode, listening to everyone's different perspectives and awesome insights. Also I would add a huge factor is how supportive your Mrs can be. Been huge in me keeping balance with mental health and physical all whilst being able to enjoy time more with the family. It's easy to fall in to a little depression when your world is turned around and not mentally ready for fatherhood, but like you said it's doing what you can when you can is what matters and after when the tide settles, being able to push more when seas are calmer

My kids lift with me now! Of course it's just play time to them but they're with dad and having fun. We all love it.

This was a cool conversation. My kids are now 17 and 15 so I’m slightly ahead. I’d 100% agree with the point about taking the time to be more chilled in the basics of getting out of the house. That’s something I failed on big time. But I wouldn’t agree that they’ll remember it forever. They just don’t remember that much stuff, at least mine don’t. Great conversation though.
