My method X has been nothing but ISSUES. 3x extruders have been RMA'd. Hundreds of material jam issues, 1 year and only a handful of successful parts. HORRIBLE customer service. DO NOT RECOMMEND.

Same here. Nothing But Trouble. I have bought this printer because of offering some of the best features and promises the best material properties. I spend 6k€ on the machine and another 1k€ on the material. Not to mention you can not print with one material directly on the build plate and don't get me started on the software. Don't make such a mistake and buy this printer it is garbage. DO NOT BUY!!!

My method X has been a disaster. Most prints fail with vanilla setting on a brand new printer. The touch screen locks up all the time with no way to recover except hard power down. The customer support chatbot just says sorry, there are no agents. My support ticket has disappeared into the ether.

I absolutely enjoy my MethodX. Only one single mishap [user error] in my entire time using this machine. My makerbot mini was 25% problems each time. I am getting almost zero problems of extruders and I moved this three times from my house to HackerLab [our local makerspace] and back. 3 times.. zero problems - alignment checking every dozen prints.

For the price I'm very surprised that this printer does not print as well as the Bambu X1 Carbon at 1 6th the price. Wow I will be getting two Bambu printers for 1 3rd the price of this thing. They need to keep working. I was planning on buying one of these, but after watching it struggle in this video I'm good.

I have a MethodX Carbon Fiber Edition, purchased about 4-6 months ago. Parts I have been creating lately are pretty conservative. Printed some Carbon fiber - nylon, but mostly ABS using LABS extruder. Print quality has been good, better than on Replicator 2 and 2X. No failed prints that were not my fault. I have yet to print with dis-solvable support material. I find the touch panel interface to be poor, having to hard power-down the printer at times. Also, I find the Makerbot Print software to be somewhat buggy, frustration with it (makerbot print OR printer software) not remembering material loaded. I have not reported any issues to Makerbot, figured they are aware of most issues I have encountered. Printer stepper motors are quite noisy. I really should relocate printer, but it is so pretty, hate to remove it from my office and relegate it to a storage room. My replicator 2/2x printers were quieted down by sitting them on towels. I don't think it would be a go for this printer -- which is quite weighty (60+ lbs).

Thanks! I had been going to settings menu for "Power Down", might be nice if they had mentioned, "hold power button" I assume identical function...

How much did they pay you to write this? The printer is garbage. Material has quality issues. Bays are not sealed and easily allow moisture. Redundant setting in software don’t work. Bed plate is too flexible and cannot handle solid filled parts. Plenty of others all have the same issues. Our Mark Forged printers run 24/7 and this thing sits. Even failed trying to print “Tough” material on a 60 hour print that was done beautifully in 16 hours on the MF. REPLY

Pirty stratasys makerbot thingiverse have been down over 12 months for business use such as the critical license sales and transfers. Wish they would resume services for exsisting customers. Sure looks like they only focussed on getting new people. 12 months is discusting. Im down waiting. My clients remain down. Are you joining us in going into 3d print industry. Want to sell your 3d print invention license...sorry nobody can we are all down. When are they resuming business services? They are unable to say. Its not good enough. If i had to guess or offer an opinion it looks like stratasys has folded. Im hopeing perhaps Mr Musk or someone buys it and resumes services.

No wonder Statasys is suing Bambu Labs, they continue to sell garbage. I guess that is what you do when you can't compete honestly in the market, you sue to kill off your competition. Boycott Stratasys.
