190h30m total print time if the last 2 squares also took 8h10m to print. List of prints: - 14 triangles at 135 min (2h15m) each - 18 triangles at 285 min (4h45m) each - 09 squares at 490 min (8h10m) each Edit: Forgot to count the last 2 triangles that took 4h45m so only got to 16 at first, so change my estimate from 181h to 190h30m.

In total print hours, I agree... However, considering that some of the printing is done in parallel instead of it all being done consecutively, the total real time would be whichever machine took the absolute longest of total print time, yes?

The reason the triangles are easier to pull off is maybe because triangles are a more rigid and the won't "give" as much as the squares. So with the squares you have to first deform the squares until they lock out and then you can pull them apart, that doesn't happen with the triangles. Well, that's my theory at least. Would be cool if you tested it. Edit: Grammar

It's a very groovy concept. This is how we can modify our species. Should a vertabrae become less than ideal, we will just click it from its sockets and add a new one that's maybe custom even, such as to add extra shoulder pivot points for their spider like new multiples of arms and legs. As humans of the 2.0 and 3.0 generations, much much more productive as biologically reappropriated line workers for after we all end up voting for A.I one day, maybe even next week?
@paulandrulis46725 жыл бұрын
A while back I was testing some Stronghero3D PETG (dk gray). Strongy, stringy, STRINGY stuff, but I have never seen parts so strong. Made a 20mm test cube with 5 perimeters and 25% infill, 5 layers top n bottom. I then stood on the cube, balancing my weight on the plastic. I wanted dynamic loading, not static, to test real world strength. My 220lbs on a 20mmX20mm surface (a little over .5 square inches surface area), equates to around 300+PSI. THAT THING DID NOT GIVE AT ALL! No warping, cracking, layer separation, nor even deflection. I was shocked. You mentioned Stronghero3d PLA and wanting to stand on stuff, which brought that to remembrance.
@3DPrintingNerd5 жыл бұрын
HOLY COW. Thank you for letting me know, that is epic!
@paulandrulis46725 жыл бұрын
@@3DPrintingNerd If you get some, I can only speak for the dk gray, but it is not an easy to print with material. At that strength I had to print at 255C, with a 70c hotbed, glass/w/Aquanet extra super hold (holds this stuff to the bed like epoxy), and ungodly retraction just to keep strings to a minimum yet maintain awesome layer adhesion. Still have issues with large prints, as I still have the cheap factory single gear extruder on my machine. After about 6hrs, it will grind into the filament with this stuff and stop printing, even though the hotend is not clogged when it happens.
