There should be more people like you in this WORLD! I have 2 stock 3dr drones (except for the upgraded GPS boards in each) with GoPro 4 Black cameras. I haven’t flown in about 2 years since the Pandemic. Now it seems a lot has changed. The Controller & SOLO link up fine, but I cannot link it to the SOLEX app or the GoPro camera. I’m not willing to do the updates myself. Unfortunately I don’t know anyone with 3dr SOLO’S that could help me. I hope you can. Thank you………Herb

I charge 20 for the controller and 20 for the drone to patch to 2.4.2. "this permanently resolved the preflght issue" 20 to upgrade to Open Solo 4.1. You have to come to Kern, CA so about 60 bucks but I permanently fix the firmware issue and will do a test. Email me if your still interested. I am buying 3DRs with Preflight issues on Ebay for 100 then reselling them back for 300 as re-certified.

Hi I just got a used one but when I turn on the drone the gimbal stabilizer starts to shake vibrate. Any help would be appreciated please

It sounds like it may have suffered impact damage or the gear inside the gimbal may be broke. Or the swivel arm stuck or a electrical issue. You can remove battery and try the unit with it removing the unit ribbon cable and then plug/screw it back in making sure its seated properly and retry it. If its not broke this will fix it.

@@travelrockstar the issue was that there was no GoPro so it was trying to stabilize it without GoPro. so once put the GoPro in it, it was all fine.

@@travelrockstar By the way I downloaded side pilot for iOS but found out that the drone has password from the previous owner and I can't get in touch with him anymore. what do I do now? any help please

@@nickdarjee Bad News! The only way I know is by resetting it by line command. The same way I update the firmware like they did at the factory! please don't ask how since you need a A+ certificate at min and would have to hack the wifi. Maybe you can contact Tom at Side Pilot and ask him if he has a fix. sorry bro

@@nickdarjee You can reset it, that will fix the passcode problem but that will put your drone back stuck in pre flght on the original firmware and its why my units have 2.42 os baked in last known good configuration from 3DR

I suggest you sell this broken drone to me on ebay as is 100 and buy a certified working one from me as is for 300 or buy a working one for 200 with the preflight issue ! Offering to repair these for 40 bucks to people that got them gifted just opens me up being called nasty names like a rip off for the last 8 years even thus a working 3DR is selling on ebay 300-500 now, the liability and why nobody is doing this anymore.

Hey Charlie, I would love to help but I'm not a business, not setup for shipping yet Charlie, you may care that everyone that tired to help 3DR Solo owners in the past lost their house, wife and dog and sanity and changed their channel after since it not a profitable idea and nobody cares nor listens now much money I will lose on every drone. the drone is 10 years old and I am over it. I suggest everyone sell their broken drone on ebay to me or someone and buy a working one from me or someone.

If you really want it fixed, its better to email me to book a time to drive up to me in Kern then we go fly after at my local park and since I'm better equipped for repairs here. I really want to focus on helping the 3DR owners that bought these things to be Video Rock Stars wanting to save their botched 1000 investment giggling inside at 40 bucks to fix this and some gas money then those that got them gifted. This drone is 10 years old, If you don't have 100 bucks to do it right...cut bait and sell it to me!

I dont have enough business to justify paying 40 a month for a Post office Box yet sir, all I would do is fix 1 drone a month to boast I have a PO box and its #21249 reason why nobody in their right mind is trying to help. The drones are 10 years old and If you want it fixed right, your all running out of time so please follow my instructions and be prepared to spend 100 and I would love to get you going, if not cut bait and sell it to me. @@travelrockstar haha yah should have finished sentence. Current situation…not a dumpster diver had since new & just never upgraded. I however was able to hack into it and managed to get it flying again. Thanks for making you video as it prompted me to dove deeper into the programming and get it running. Keep it up as I’m sure you have helped more people than just me.

Don't you think this would have been much easier to make a tutorial video showing people how to fix their drones like everyone else has done?
