Don't throw away your 3DR Solo Drone! You can fix it!

Recently I traded my iPad mini 1 that is as old as my sister for a nonfunctioning 3dr solo drone on the Facebook marketplace. The guy that traded me it said he could never get the controller to communicate with the drone. He said broth devices turned on perfectly and that he only flew it for 45 minutes before it didn't work again. I knew there had to be a way to fix this, so I spent several days researching, talking to the developer of Solex for android, and even joining a Facebook group. This group was kind of enough to walk me through the entire thing. They gave me this link (see at bottom of post) to the instructions when using the Solex app. If you have an iPhone, you'll need to backtrack to the origin post and click on the link for it. Greetings brother I hope you are well, thank goodness I'm able to find a few people making content in December of 2021, I have a solo I got her for 100 dollars with 3 batteries ,chargers ,transmitter, backpack, and GoPro 4. I can't get cam feed, I think I have lost script to control camera. Do you think open solo 4 will fix? I've never done any kind of installation, but I have read the instructions and it seems straight forward. What do you think???

Ok so I got this drone got both apps idk why u thank I rushed into getting the $30 one so back to the drone I turned it on it flyes with no problem but I can't get the gopro to connect I guess when it asks me to go 2 wifi setting I do as asked find the solo*** put in the password sololink click connect n it won't connect I get a pop up askin me something like would u like go switch to mobile or stay wifi I tried each one dozen of times say I click on wifi it then read " wifi connection is to poor' or " waiting for a better connection ' can some one help me also there's some updates on the solo app do should I down load it.

I have 2 - 3DR's. Had em for a few years. I have flown them both already, and put one back in storage once I flew it 3 times. I have the solex battery meter to check out the batteries, plus bought some unused batteries. So thanks for your video. Make America Suffer.

I still have the solo app on my iPad and it works fine. However, it is no longer available on my I phone. I use the iPad for my drone only, so if I don't update the pad the app will still work.

Michael, did you know the password to your controller or did you have to do a factory reset? Forgot my password and want to know how the process went if you had to reset the password.

Press power and fly once shut off then hold it till it resets and it should be the default password

Ok, for downland app 3dr solo you need buy old phone with old version of android 4.2, samsung galaxy s4, s5, note 4 note 5, for this drone and downland app 3dr solo i use on this year 2021 this method work good, without pay app solex.

It's Tim again I forget to say I have older iPad. Would it be easier to dl the 3dr app and update that way or will it not be compatible with my Samsung phone I used to fly the drone with. That says the software is for older phone ? Sorry to be a bother but I'd really like to get it working again.
