Hi Peps, this is a great tutorial thank you. The plugin doesnt seem to work with the current substance texture export presets in Vray. Any idea how to get around that? thank you!

@peps3dtutorials6993 жыл бұрын
absolutly here you go www.substance3d.com/ecosystem-plug-ins/substance-in-3ds-max/ You just run the script and it will generate a Vray material with all the maps linked

THANKS! can u do a version with ''exploding'' mesh (when the elements of one object is separate from each other to bake better) and baking in 3dsmax to substance too?
@IgrwOw2 жыл бұрын
hey, my good dude. does substance separates elements by 3ds color or detachments?
@peps3dtutorials6992 жыл бұрын
Heya Cliff ! By 3ds max colors, make sure they are standard colors and each have a name, also make sure your 3ds max Meshes are detached and named correctly as well. so summary ( detach the elements and each gets a standard 3ds max material both named appropriately)

It's pretty rare to see thing kind of video. Been searching for decent workflow video, well done. Also the speed of working 'perfecto'. 1 problem for me - with 3ds max 2022 and substance painter script --- I can't load the files for mapping, even though I exported the for vray. (the menu is simply blank)
@peps3dtutorials6992 жыл бұрын
Heya Nika ! yeah the script i use is no longer working with 3ds max , i will be uploading a new video soon with a different workflow that works no matter the versions of softwares :D

Hi. 3dsmax 2021 couldn't work with the script? I tried to select a folder and nothing come out on the List.
@peps3dtutorials6993 жыл бұрын
Hi there , that is weird , this script is actually outdated , try updating your 3ds max 2021 to v3 since it has a new material import function that does the scripts job for you

hello, please tell someone where you can learn to be a 3d artist?
@peps3dtutorials6992 жыл бұрын
Hi there , Well to start becoming a 3D artist you need to learn from a modeling software first ( 3ds max , maya , blender , cinema 4D) You learn the basics of creating objects using primitives . then you learn how to texture and render those objects into a scene and finally how to animate . After you had enough practice with a single software you start experimenting with new ones such as sculpting in Zbrush and texturing in Substance painter
@blush27173 жыл бұрын
Hello sir, i am not planning to planning to learn zbrush now, can we Directly give bumps and dents to metal and scratches to wood through substance painter instead of using Zbrush, if yes then how?
@peps3dtutorials6993 жыл бұрын
sorry for the late reply and absolutely you can , In Substance you have layers where you can add Scratches. Dents are harder to add since it changes the deformation map so on substance its not easy to do
