I was in Japan in 2020 with the kids, got a powder day and they loved it! Thanks for posting TJ! New Zealand is usually groomed trails, over crowded, short runs. Japan is where it is at.

Is he a big guy to be riding the 158? I can see the extra length being handy for WAIST deep pow but how often is that gonna happen haha. Also love the look of the Bataleon Surfer for JAPOW!

I'm around the same weight and loved the 158, but you're right for normal powder days the 154 would be fine and definitely more maneuverable
